Morning ladies,

Cold and rainy and miserable!!

Lilly, I would not have held my cool either! The worst remark I got so far was that my belly button still needs to pop out (this from a man, nogals) and I just ignored it. I also dont think 1.9 is very small for 32 weeks, according to the scans it is less than 1 week behind. I think Dr is worried that baby have been measuring 1.5 weeks ahead of schedule up to now, and all of a sudden she is measuring much smaller. So I will really take things easier. Looked at having LG's party at Spur rather than our house (Spur at Broadacres has a lovely outside play area) but I'm not sure I'm keen to do that. I'm SO unable to make up my mind about things these days, is that a pregnancy symptom?

LouiseMarie, I also think it is a good idea to have that headache checked out. Pre-eclampsia can start very suddenly and it is not something to mess around with. Even if you just have your BP checked at Dischem or something. And please don't worry about pigmentation,it will disappear after birth. But very insensitive of your mom to mention it  Like my own mom who remarks that I inherited my father's hair (he has been basically bald for the last 20 years while she has VERY thick hair herself). I'm very sensitive about my hair falling out

Pillpusher, I'm sure the measurements are just a bit off. Just 3 weeks to go!! :woohoo: Please tell us more about micro-birthing?

Hi all

Little princess is, as predicted, still sitting in her throne so c-section has been booked for 13 October. I was a bit worried cause she hasn't gained much, estimated at only 2.5kg, but doctor said that it can be difficult to get accurate measurements on breech babies so it might be an underestimate. Her leg and tummy measurements weren't very clear, but were for lower gestational age but her head was clear and that came up at 36 weeks. Doctor is happy, says she doesn't think there's anything to worry about.

We did the strep B swab cause I asked about micro-birthing and doctor is quite happy to do that. She wasn't keen on delayed cord-clamping, but is quite enthusiastic about micro-birthing so I'm happy about that.

Just feeling a bit out of sorts now. I was fine with being told it would be caesarean, I think because DH was a bit unsettled it affected my mood. That and obsessing about her weight. I only gained 0.5kg since my last check up though, despite the at-times monstrous appetite I've had.

@Juanita - bunny is super cute!

@Lilly - well done on keeping your cool. Thankfully my work colleagues seemed to realize that the twin jokes were getting old. So looking forward to maternity leave starting next Thursday!!

I went to woolies last week, and the cashier there said that my face is glowing but my neck is sooo dark!!!

Yesterday at church everybody kept on predicting when ill give birth, from next week to in 2 weeks time, some will go like, her tummy is big but its still up.
Now what do you say to such people???

LM maybe the heat aswel contributes to your headache.

Oh my gosh Lilly... I take my hat off to you for keeping your mouth shut...! I have reached the point now where I won't spare anyone's feelings if they have a nasty comment/remarks to me the pregnancy!!! I even went off towards my mother the other day when she commented about my chloasma. Saying if she doesn't have anything positive to say, she should just keep quiet! Besides - if I suffer from pigmentation it's only due to the genes I inhereted from them... So she sat and sulked but I honestly didn't give a damn!!! Her comment was very hurtful and my pigmentation is an extremely sensitive subject to me...

If someone had to tell me "shame another girl", I would have seriously ripped her apart!!!

I've been getting terrible headaches this past weekend...but only @ night. This morning however I woke up with a headache and it's just not subsiding... and I've tried everything! Also have some abdominal pain...but Larissa is still moving the same... so I'm uncertain? Will monitor and if it doesn't get better, I'll go to the maternity ward to have it checked out... They say preclampsia can stick its head out now, so I don't want to take any chances!

Alternatively it's because I got the flu from Elmarise... but this doesn't feel like flu.

I just feel crappy and uncomfortable...
