hi ladies,

terrible day for me.. i promise you i wish i could have a sign saying 'dont mess with me'.. and guess what, another lady this morning, as moody as i was asked if i am having a boy or a girl, i said girl, and she said 'shame'..pause..' i thought you will pair them like i did'. she has a boy and a girl. Trust me, i felt my answer go down my throat as i swallowed it. I decided not to respond because she was going to pay for everyone else's sins..LOL. some people are so insensitive. seriously does she think there is some form i should have sat down and ticked to order a boy? and what makes her think I got issues with having a girl?..sorry ladies, i just had to get it off my system. :silly: :silly:

@Juanita - i am loving the weather. thing is as soon as it warms up, my feet swell. so this chill works pefectly for me :silly: Woow, only 4.5 to go? I envy you..LOL. good job on getting the bags ready, i still need to start, and somehow i am just so clueless :( LOL..give hubby a chance, he might just suprise you..LOL ;)

@Lauz - how did it go with the room? we are dying to see the pics

@PP- all the best with the scan..I also battle to focus on the check up days cos i ussually just cant wait to see baby. Are you scheduled for c-sect or going for natural? excuse the porridge brain, you probably have answered this question before

@Kimmy - i also feel so naar. So moody today. I just want my bed. Oh woow, your shower this weekend, please send pics afterwards. I am losing my patience with waiting for the suprise shower..and i have a feeling it will only be done late in oct :(

@LM - how are you doing?

@Clueless - is 1.9 too small for the age though? or is it only a concern because baby was above average all along? Please try to take it easy..i know its not easy not to stress. Dont you have anyone you can ask to help out with the planning?

@ZAndri - i also caught the nesting bug, but somehow I am not getting anything done. I seem to have the whole house upside down because i touch here and there.. :silly:  Borth scares me too, but i try not to think about it too much..either way, the little beans have to come out, so its no use stressing. And what i have noticed is, your body will be very prepared that day...You will be amazed at how well it handles everything

AFM- 31 weeks this week, 5 weeks left at work..i cant wait :silly: i am so tired of sitting the whole day, so i really cannot wait to be home. I still need to find a travel system, i know we spoke about it a while back, but i have forgotten what was highly recommended..LOL.

a lovely week further ladies..

Hi Ladies

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, I enjoyed the cooler weather.

Wow I would just like to mention to everyone that I have seriously caught the "nesting" bug  This past weekend I completely rearrange the living room. I got my husband to install extra shelving in the baby room and I trough out what felt like a ton of linen we don't use anymore.
I just suddenly felt like getting everything sorted.

Oh only one bad thing happened - I had a horrible nightmare bout the birth. I know that I shouldn't be anxious about it but I hate needles. At this stage I'm looking least forward to the epidural than the c-sec. Strange I know. Anyway I am sure that by the time I'm 38 weeks I will be so uncomfortable that the hole procedure will be a relief (At least that's what I am hoping for)

Yup, things are getting very real now!! Also done with packing hospital bags, just need to charge cameras and gooi it in there.

@PP Leandi got some cramps in the beginning but it wasnt from any of the foods i ate. It wouldve been hard coz we use onions and tomatoes alot!! not so much garlic but she never had a problem with it. Leandi's problem was that she went through the birth canal too quick so her spine didnt have time to align. had to take her to a physio that specialised in newborns. we only went for 3 sessions i think and the difference was amazing!!

@Kimmy, bet you cant wait for saturday!! thank goodness short week, so will fly by :)

Schools closed on Friday so ive given myself the day off
Hubby at home today, said he was going to start sanding walls in baby room. im not holding my breath :S

34 weeks today  Only 4,5 weeks to go!!!

Hi ladies,

32 weeks now and went for my scan this morning. Dr is a little concerned as baby went from measuring on the big side last time, to measuring small today (1.9kg). I asked if it was related to my food intake and he said no, being too busy and stressed has the biggest influence on baby's weight gain. So he instructed me, in front of hubby, to REALLY take things easy. Not sure how I'm gonna do that while planning a birthday for my LG

PP, we also live on a diet of tomato, onion and garlic, and my LG would probably have starved if it wasnt for pasta with home made napoletana sauce (with LOTS of onion and garlic!). I did change my diet while breastfeeding, as LG had really bad colic, but cutting out the onion, garlic, milk and coffee didnt seem to have the slightest impact, so I just went back to eating normally and her colic disappeared at 3 months.

Ordered curtains for the baby room, I'm so excited! We are going to do a Ladybug theme...

PillPusher, on the breastfeeding topping and the different foods:

Whatever you eat during pregnancy is okay to eat during breastfeeding... I think the only execption is HEAVY gassy foods like cabbage.

Reason being is that your breastmilk will have the same taste as your amniotic water, which baby has been drinking and gotten used to over the past few months.

I'm an extreme curry, spicy & chillie lover... I had it right through my pregnancy and also during breastfeeding and Elmarise never took a dislike to my milk or had gas or cramps from it. Even today she will eat hot curry with me instead of her dad's VERY mild curry. She even takes tobasco sauce on some foods
