Morning,

I had an uncomfy pain this morning as i was about to go drop off my LB , i don't know if this baby has turned or not. Am starting to feel misreable now
I think my son aswell is getting impatient, his pre school teacher gave birth few weeks ago and she normally pops in with the baby.

@juanita, my baby also has something going on the 26th oct, but i will not be there and dread telling him.

@Zandri, If you had your hospital tour at Kloof already, you will see that they gave you a list in the journal, I think it is on the last or second last page. There is a list of recommended items for Mommy and a list for baby, as well as what you will receive in the bag for baby what they will supply. I am going to pack according to their list and then on the vests, will do a short and long sleeve for each day so that if it is hot, I can use the short sleeve and if baba is cold, I will use the long sleeve... I do have a sneaky suspicion that the vests and grows are going to be to big, so I bought on 2 prem grows at Woolies, Hubby and my sister will have to go buy more if need be.

How are all of you doing... reality is starting to kick in for me, I did the last bit of washing and shopping yesterday. I also sterilized 2 bottles for in case we have issues with breastfeeding.

Wow what a night - had hardly any sleep. I am seriously very uncomfortable lately Perhaps it is the heat. Oh and I woke up in the middle of the night and found I was very hungry - I know baby needs extra from me now but wow was I hungry lol

About the vests underneath the baby grows - I was planning on taking some vests to the hospital long and short but I think it will be very hot in November so chances are I will only dress him in the baby grow. Also depending on the temp in the hospital.

I still feel like I have so much to learn and I would love some advice on what to pack for the hospital - I've read online what is needed but what are you ladies packing?

I fear that I am packing to much or forgetting important items which I am not thinking about.

Juanita I would be pissed as well! Will they at least be filming your LG's concert?
Let's hope they have a morning one and that you can at least go to that one but as you say you'll have to make sure no grubby hands or snot noses come her way!

PP def don't stress about long sleeve vests. I prefer the short sleeve/ sleeveless vests underneath a babygrow if need be.
Ive only packed long sleeve baby grows and sleeveless vests for night time if needed.

Im so tired in the afternoons lately. Come 1 o'clock i cant keep my eyes open! When i get home i cant help it, i just feel so drained i have to lie down. My poor lg has been so cute and understanding, she lies with me and puts a movie on for herself. So considerate!!

Leandi's stupid school moved her concert from end Sept to end Oct! Larissa will be 4 days old and 2 of the shows are at 6 at night!! Wtf, im going to miss my baby's show The last day's show is in the morning, im hoping i can go see that one? Will just need to keep baba away from those grubby little hands and snot noses!!

Oh yes Clueless! I only have the itchy soles this time around... mostly around the ball of my foot.

I've noticed that either vicks or deep heat/moove helps alot!

It won't take it away - you'll probably end up doing it every night before bed, but it will control the itch throughout the night and also aid with those pesky restless legs.

PP, I think the long sleeve vests are more for your winter babies... trust me - the last thing you'll need for a baby from Oct - Feb is a long sleeve vest.

We sometimes dressed Elmarise just in her short sleeve onesie due to the heat... they can easily get a heat rash in the warm months.

She wore a long sleeve cotton babygrow the day she was born and then at night time when it rained for example and the air was a bit nippy. But I think we literally used 5 long sleeved babygrows for her.

Oh, but now that I think of it... you're in PE and the weather is so unpredictable there... but I still wouldn't get long sleeves. Rather get the full body short sleeve onesie - you'll use them the most.
