I almost forgot my LG has discovered a name she would like for the baby, so we have moved from "baby noon" to "Zaina" so far mummy and daddy have no other choices so we decided to stick with my LG choice to name her sister "Zaina - it means beautiful and radiant" :) :) :) :)

Hello pregnant mama's hope you are all well and the babies are doing great.

I still have some laptop issues so have missed catching up with you this week.

@Lashy good luck for the 3d/4d scan today, hope you get some awesome pics and please share as soon as you can, maybe we will find out the gender also (keeping fingers crossed for you)!!!!!!!

@Micky glad you and baba doing well, wow 21 weeks already, doesn't time seem like it is flying by? Hmmm you asked about NAPPY BAGS, for my first born someone bought me a Caboodle nappy bag (very fancy, fashionable and expensive), we got the netcare free nappy bag from the hospital (bulky and navy blue like a typical hospital item, but it is the one that has outlasted all the other nappy bags, to the point that 4 years later my daughter uses it to carry all her beach items), I got standard nappy bag from someone from Jet, (it lasted for 2 years, had all the necessary compartments), and then the Discovery nappy bag, which I bearly used, but it's great to have to store other stuff in. Why I am explaining the caboodle one fell apart after one wash yet the cheaper ones were more resilient, for the first few months you actually end up giving up your handbag and shove everything you and baby need into the nappy bag, so choose one with good inside hidden compartments and pockets outside for bottles and bulky stuff. they all come with a changing mat. you may get some as presents, rather wait for those that buying them now, cause generally two nappy bags will be more than sufficient for the first 2 years for baby.

@Nix my dear how are you and Isabella doing, wow you scared me when I read your post, glad Isabella is fine, but please tell me more about the low lying placenta, I personally feel this baby is almost in my cervix sometimes, moving and I worry I possibly may have a lower placenta? anything you know of to watch out for to indicate this or can it only be picked up from the pre-natal checkup? I always think about you and how you had to have Daniella earlier, did you experience the low placenta with her as well? Howz Daniella doing? I'm sure you must be taking it easy but you a strong mama and always remember you got through so much with Daniella delivery, no matter what you are going to have a good journey even with Isabella cause its just the person you are!!!!!

@Miggie glad to hear you and baby are doing great, and that's for sharing the lovely baby and bump pics, they are awesome. Howz the party planning going or not so going for your daughter? I had my 4 year LG party at the end of July it was a mermaid party but I was exhausted, luckily had my mum and sister around to help with most of the stuff.

Nisha and Newmommy I still owe you the list from the antenatal class, will post a little later for you guys.

@Nisha yes I have decided on the C-section well actually baby noon has decided that's how she will make her entrance, remember my first baby was born as and emergency Caesar, after all the labour , etc she was 3.8kg, well this time around I have been told I am not a good candidate for a VBAC cause baby number 2 will be bigger or the same size and they only allow VBAC's if you next babies are under 3kg, to prevent uterus ruptures from your first Caesar scar, I didn't; know this until my gynae took time to explain, but I am happy with my decision, whatever is safest for me and baby will have to do.

@Dalene glad you doing well and baby is growing well, don't worry tiredness I always says is babies way of forcing mummy to rest otherwise she forgets :-) I also love to just sleep all the time. So please tell me more about your "relaxed leave" I like this concept maybe I can use it too, hehehehehe

Hi Ladies

I am due 28 Dec...21 weeks now.
Baba is kicking up a storm! Loving the feeling...even DH can feel Baba move now.
We don't know gender and have decided to keep it a surprise...if I can hold out!
Was wondering if some of the already mommies can give me some advice on nappy bags...want something practical yet nice...any suggestions?

Morning Ladies.

How is everyone doing?

Sorry I have been MIA for a bit. Last week was a terrible week, everything just went wrong.

Anyway, I had a scare on Sunday, I had a brown discharge with some spotting so went to the hospital and they did a non stress test and everything was fine there. My gynea admitted me for overnight observation and I had blood tests and all sorts done but all was fine. I went for a scan yesterday morning and my gynea picked up that I have a low lying placenta which should move up in a few weeks otherwise it can be dangerous so we have to just keep an eye on it.

Isabella is all healthy and is growing as she should, she is weighing about 630 grams. She was very active with a very strong heartbeat so my doc is happy for now. Her due date has been set for the 12 December and my c section and bed have been booked for the 2nd December early morning.

I still need to catch up on the previous posts but just wanted to let you know that I am still alive.

Will post again later. Have a good day ladies.

@ Zaza: that list will be helpful to me too - so far I have concentrated on baby clothes (vests, hats, pants and baby grows as well as socks) (3-6 months and very few 0-3 months and no newborn stuff - they grow tooooo fast), a good breastfeeding pillow, receiving blankets, facecloths and bibs. There are a few more small things I got like a thermometer, baby safe earbuds, wipes and nappies (and nappy bags for the smell), and a baby nail-clipper. I know I need to get a few more things, so lists at this stage are more than helpful!

@ dalene: oh you are not alone in the tiredness. I can barely drag myself out of bed in the mornings. Have taken leave for the 25th of September so can make it a four-day weekend, which I am highly looking forward to!

@ miggie: my friend recently had a rainbow party for their five year old girl, and even found a unicorn rainbow pinata at the crazy store. Apparently crazy store stocks everything! They had a cake, hotdogs and popcorn for the little ones. Maybe have a Frozen party, if your LG loves Frozen? I have also seen a little chefs party recently, with all the kids decorating cupcakes or cookies - although the mess afterwards may be too much to handle. I hope you find something fun and no fuss or bother.

Hope everyone has a great week ahead:)
