Hey new mommy,

I'm good.. Just no Internet and unless im in particular spot in my home the 3g signal never picks up.. So only delay or no response from me. Hoping to get internet this week atleast.

@pregnant fairy - wow.. 5kms .its a big step to do. I'm so lazy.. Kudos to u.. I'm so proud of u. And regarding nursing chair, my baby also will sleep with me. So I'm not planning to get one. Also in other room my mom will be sleeping. No no choices left out. But I have heard my sis say that nursing chair is really helpful

@zaza - keep ur sugar intake very minimal honey. That will help. I'm in sugar free diet from the start because of my family history of diabetes. But after I came here I just crave for peanut butter that I have one spoon of it everyday. But just ensure I walk and keep sugar levels done. I also hate that gtt test.. So bad. But since u r already choosing c section, just keep an eye on diet. That's more than enuf.

Dont worry, you are going to be fine. Remember our ancestors didnt even have all this stuff, and bam, we are all here as well. Nobody is going to get it all perfect, but we are going to be amazing moms You are doing great!!!

I chose not to know the gender, and we found some cute green and yellow and also brownish and greyish clothes at woolworths as well as ackermans.

I went over the weekend to go and see cots at Furnicraft at N1 city, (close to the KFC at N1 city) they are about R2000 each. Also I saw some nice one for about R1500 at Mr Price Home in Canal Walk (riiiight at the back of the store).

As for pregnancy vitamins, it doesnt really matter, but I take the Georen PregOmega Plus, as I find the extra calcium and magnesium prevent leg and hand cramps. I got mine at Dischem Canal Walk, R182 for the months supply.

Nisha, you are far from home, but you are going to be okay, really. Hope you get internet soon.

Hellooooo lovelies..

Hope all of you had a restful weekend, and didnt overdo it.

@ Nix: How is everything going?

@ Zaza: What a pretty bump! I'm sorry to say, my fat layers are hiding mine, so it still just looks like I have had an especially large lunch. And what a lovely gynae - they so rarely take the time to do the little things, its such a precious moment that you captured. I would have been bawling my eyes out!!

@ Nisha: Why so quiet? Is everything good your side?

@ Happi1: Oh the throat dryness! Now that the weather is changing I get it so much more often. I also sleep with a bottle of water next to my bed, and saline nasal spray has been my lifesaver.

@ pregnantfairy: I am also a first-time mom, but have been around many moms - and whether or not you will need a nursery chair depends on whether you plan to co-sleep or not. If your baby is set down to sleep in the nursery you will need a chair there to feed when you are awake at night... just what makes sense to me. I personally am too lazy to drag my postnatal butt over to another room, so baby will stay with me and I will feed in bed.

Also, kudo's on the 5km walk! Thats fantastic!

Good morning.

H r u all doing. Updates from me is I'm 25 weeks 2 days now. Due on 5 Dec. Gender : no idea.

I should have asked doc on gender . now that I'm looking for all nursery stuffs for baby, gender would be much easier for shopping I guess. Silly me.

I went to baby boom, baby city, babysrus this weekend to check on baby gear, nursery basically all baby related stuffs. I got so confused and got worried like how am I gonna do this..there is so much to do and being first time parent I'm getting so worried. I'm totally blind regarding all this. But I do have listbu all suggested. So with that I'm kinda having hopes to do this .

I need a favor ladies, plz tell me which is good pre natal vitamins. I saw pregnacare and few other brands. Doc said choose any u want and take it. But I wanted to check with u all and choose the right one. Plz help me out here.

Also is there any shop that sell baby cot. I see babysrus and baby boom got few..very few. Baby city has mattress n all. But no cot. All they got is campcot. I'm looking for proper cot. Any shops anyone could recommend in cape Town.

Just need some advise please for a first time Mom planning a nursery.

First of all... Do I need to get a comfortable chair for the nursery?

Would you recommend a rocking chair too? Or will I just end up feeding baby sitting in bed? Lol

I have signed up to do a 5km walk at the end of the month... 5km doesn't sound too bad normally... but have been too tired to do any exercising while pregnant so a little bit worried

Zaza - 24 weeks, not sure of baby gender ..
Update: girl, EDD - 1 Dec 2015, delivery - c section, so new EDD - 2nd or 3rd week Nov 2015, no official name for baby yet, last weigh in 410g @ 20 weeks.

Its been an exhausting week, with late nights, and Im thanking my lucky stars its Friday so I can just go and sleep! Baby started moving this week, so we are very excited about that too!

We are 20w2d, gender: no idea, birth: home with midwife, EDD: 27 Dec, names: have both a boy and girls name in mind but hubby has no idea so keeping it all under wraps.

SO, SO happy for all of you finding out about the lovely baby girls and bouncy boys - very happy to be part of this journey with you!
