Good morning ladies...

I hope everyone is doing well. Time is flying and I can't believe that I am almost 25 weeks pregnant...

How is everyone feeling? I am really getting tired and sluggish now, and work are getting more and more difficult with all the stress and deadlines we need to meet. Luckily this will be over soon as I will be going onto "relaxed" leave before maternity leave :-)

Anyway, have a lovely week and hang in there, we are almost there... and the good thing is spring is in the air :-)

@nisha my dear shopping at all the baby stores is very overwhelming I will update you a list of essentials u can try and get before baby comes, a lot of stuff we want to buy now baby only uses like after 6 months but we all get scared and buy buy buy, will share a good list I got from antenatal class about being practical pregnancy shoppers, and about the prenatal vitamin, I'm also taking preg omega plus about R190 has everything in it, u can also use it after baby arrives if u breast feed baby, sorry about ur internet I'm using my cell phone cause my laptop crashed,

And yes I did eat a huge ice cream, before my last scan, so I suspect that's y I had sugar in my urine test and had to go for the gtt test but got results today all clear an good so no gestational diabetes for me

@pregnant fairy shew u know we all plan the nursery but most of the time the baby has other plans, we had the nursery all done but it is dependant how strict a parent u are and we are softies, my lg was born in winter also so was very hard to leave her alone, also if u Breast feeding vs bottle feeding impacts ur routine also, I will share my experience u can set up ur nursery but u will find ur own pattern, that will work for u an baby, so with my lg she was breast fed and she demand fed every hour so it was too tiring for me to get up and go sit and feed her especially at night, I would be a zombie if I did, so we got the cot where the one side drops down and I kept it in my bedroom next to my side of the bed, allowed me to slide baby in and out my bed back to the cot easily without waking hubby, me completely and baby up, also I learnt how to breast feed whilst lying down, best position to give mum a chance to sleep while baby feeds, only when my lg started bottle feeds around 5 months did I use a chair or our sofa cause bottle feeds they have to be fed more upright but at night we breast fed so back to cot side by side with me, we hardly used the nursery for first 7 months and baby moved to big bed cause she learnt to climb out the cot, they out grow things so fast. It's good to have a nursery give them their space but when they so young they may not make use of it until much later, hope this helps u decide, my lg is 4 now but she still sneaks into our room and loves cuddling up with us an we don't mind like I said we softies and one day she will be too big for cuddles so we still enjoy our cuddle bear now.

Hi all you Mommies.

So sorry ive been so quiet but im terribly tired, i have no energy at all, i can sleep 4-5 hours during the day and then ill pass out again at 10 at night.

Luckily i dont have any morning sickness anymore but have a lot of pulling and stretching of my tummy that i didnt have with my daughter. Quite uncomfortable. I can also not eat a lot anymore, i eat less than my fussy 5year old and then i feel like ive been to a eat-all-you can special.

Gogga is really busy and kicks up a storm most of the day and night, seems he never runs out of energy, must be where all mine is going.

Its my daughter birthday 8 September and i havent started even thinking about it  , i just dont where to start and if i even have the energy for it.

Since ive last posted ive been for 3 scans. I had an UTI and after the antibiotics were done i didn't feel much better so i went back to the GP, he was so excited because he got an ultrasound machine and he wanted to practice, so we got to see baby.
Then 3 weeks later i went for checkup at my gynae and saw baby again but he said he doesn't do the detailed scan anymore so he send me to someone else 2 weeks later. There we had a normal and 3d/4d? scan :) and we got a dvd :)

Baby is measuring bigger than his age but not to much, just about 6 days.
I was 24 weeks and he was 25cm and weighing 630g.
Every time we go for a scan his legs are always straight in front of him with feet hanging over his head, so cute, the one pic we got of him he was kicking or scratching his ear with his foot.

Hope everyone is still doing really good and enjoying your day.

The first scan photo is one that the gynae took.
My next appointment is 9 September, the day after my daughters birthday.

Hi everyone, hope all the mamas and babies are well!!!

My laptop went into repairs on Thursday so using my phone currently to login.

@ carmy and Lashy thanks ladies for the pink wishes lol my first born didn't
Show her gender until very late as well so we got lotsa neutral colours and other colours, I kept the larger furniture and baby things just not the clothes. So will be shopping for clothes hopefully after my baby shower!! As much as it would be nice to have a son also I am happy it's a girl, seems familiar to me.

@ carmy good luck with ur scan tomorrow hope u get some great pics and let us know how it goes?

@lashy when next week is ur scan?

@pregnantfairy yes I'm excited to finally know the gender it helped me get organized, I now have a list of things to do, get and research, in prep for baby!! Well done on registering for the 5km race, I did a 5km walk a few months back, just stay well hydrated, carry some snacks u do get hungry walking after all we are pregnant, and walk slowly, I got some back pain in the last km but hubby kept massaging me and we completed it, ate like a wolf thereafter, and after a good hot shower slept like a baby, I'm sure u will be great just take it easy!!! We still walk daily about 3km now cause I get tired quickly but walking really helps ur pregnancy, I stopped my preggy yoga, was becoming uncomfortable with te bigger tummy, but I pump hand weights to keep my arms toned and step exercise keep leg strength to carry my weight as I get heavier.

Hi Nisha

I think its completely natural to feel overwhelmed as a first time mom, heck, I'm sure its overwhelming even as a second or third timer!! Just try and take things one task at a time, one day at a time.

Maybe to help yourself, create a list of what you need and what needs to be done, then sort things in the order of their importance, then you can just focus on one item at a time instead of trying to face the whole lot all together.

Good luck, and don't forget to try and enjoy this experience :)

How is everyone else doing?

@Newmommy, how did your interviews go? Hope you managed to find a suitable stand-in.
I am 20w1day today so we are quite close together :)

@Pregnant Fairy - Wowzers - 5Km? Nicely done, just make sure you stay hydrated :) With regards to the nursing chair, I am going to move our single seater couch from the lounge into the nursery. I want to make a little space for Bug in the lounge as we have a doublestorey and I am prone to falling downstairs so I would rather not trek up and down with the baby all day. I am going to set up a campcot for sleeping and playing as well as a change station.

So its my 20week scan tomorrow - I am hoping for a little more clarity regarding the C-Sec date if possible, other than that - No news from my side :)

Have a great Monday all
