Yay long weekend, Happy Women's Day ladies for Sunday!!!

I hope I can just sleep, lol. So my LG is much better it was just her post nasal drip but she is back to her normal self again this morning, we did get more sleep last night so we both feeling better now.

Yesterday, someone told me I don't look 6 months pregnant, and I actually felt good, although this is the one time in our lives want to have the bump, I am glad I haven't gained too much weight thus far considering how much baby is going to fatten up in the next few months. In my first pregnancy I gained a total of 11kg's, baby was 3.8kg of that, it was much easier to loose after the birth. Really trying hard with this pregnancy to keep to this for baby health and mine.

I find I cannot wake up in the morning I just want to sleep more, lol. My daughter comes normally to wake me and say "mama you sleeping longer than me" lucky hubby and her have a breakfast routine before I drag myself out of bed. Anyone else feeling sooooooooooo sleepy?

My symptoms currently:
-porridge brain - I laugh at myself daily with this
-starving early in the morning
-slight heartburn (sleeping with the elevated pillow helps)
-slight leg cramps (the milk and banana's are helping)
- very sleepy nowadays

Lashy and Zaza sorry to hear your little ones are sick, thankfully winter is almost over. Daniella has also got a bit of a cold and my hubby and I are also feeling a bit under the weather but thankfully tomorrow is Friday and its long weekend. I gave Daniella Illiadin nose drops/spray and then I am double dosing her with zinplex junior and viral choice choice for cold and flu and I put in her Nido bottle in the mornings and it makes her milk taste like cream soda with a splash of orange and she loves it. Yesterday I put allergex into her bottle and it made the milk taste like cinnamon :0). The pharmacist also gave me Zalary which is the cheaper form of deselex and he said that would sort her out so maybe try that ladies. She was VERY happy this morning so she cant be feeling too bad. Its horrible when they sickies and you don't wanna keep on taking them to the doctor the whole time.

I got a welcome little bag from my doctors rooms when I reached the three month mark with my first pregnancy because it was a medi clinic. In there I got some samples, a free ante natal class voucher for a day as well as a 4D scan voucher . On the day of birth you get a stunning baby bag with basically everything you need for baby for the first few days so you just have to bring clothes. They register the birth for you so you don't have to worry and then you just collect the birth certificate from the hospital. they give the first immunisations free and I cant remember what else :0).
You can read up all about it on that link I sent you, there is also a list of stuff you need to pack for the hospital. U need to make an appointment with the gynea ASAP as they can get quiet full quickly. U also need to book the 4D scan and antenatal class as they also get fully booked quickly. Try go by 29 weeks for the 4D otherwise baby starts getting too big and you don't see much but depending on the size of baby. That's my little piece of advice :0)

To all the new mommies welcome :0) I am 22 weeks pregnant with my second little princess. My first born is just over years.

As for me, I am feeling lots of movement and kicking. Last night we were stuck in such bad traffic on the way home and Isabella decided it was time to wake up and stretch out on my bladder, my whole right side of my tummy went all hard so was a big stretch!! Thankfully it didn't last for long because I probably would have ended up wetting myself!

@Nisha YAY!!!! you made it safe and sound to SA, glad to hear you had a good flight and that you and baby are settling in, don't worry soon it will be spring and then summer in SA so the cold won't bother you much!!! I am sure you hubby must be very excited to have you with him finally. Enjoy Cape Town, and now you can start shopping!!!!!

@Lashy glad to hear you ok and the scan went well, wow your EDD moved up a lot hey, I'm sure as you approach the last few weeks somehow we don't mind cause we get so tired and big, sorry to hear your LG is sick, it's just winter months they always get colds so easily, my daughter had gone all winter without anything but yesterday when I got home, my mum said she started sneezing all day and by the afternoon, nasal drip and congestions, etc, and she is also on multi-vit's and immune boosters, but I also think their will eventually pick up stuff maybe not as severely the boosters just aid their recovery time, so I hardly slept last night with a 4 year old constantly telling me "mama my nose is leaking, mama my nose is blocked, propping her up on the pillows to help her, I have stock of meds at home, just using that now to alleviate the symptoms, no fever or cough just the nasal congestion, will take her to the doc by this evening if she is not feeling better by the time I get home. Glad you found a place and how much do the full 4D scan that you are going for cost nowadays, I also wanted to do one, just to get a good DVD.

@Newmommy what a deal on your stroller, amazing what a little shopping around can bring out, hey!!! My hubby is pulling out my LG cot this weekend, it needs a rub down and new paint job, when we moved to DBN from JHB it got a few dents and bumps in the moved, but once he does the mend it will be good to re-used, we washed up all the old pram parts and material stuff so that's almost ready for re-use, found the old bath set, it was amazing how much stuff we still have and can re-use, we just need to get the new babies clothes, toiletries, etc.

My LG helped clean all her old newborn toys and she put them in a gift bag, said when baby comes she wants to give them to baby as her presents.

@ Lashy: House hunting..phew thats alot to take in when pregnant. So happy you found a great place, well-done! Sorry about your sick LG, thats terrible to hear. Could it just be that its winter and sniffles come with the territory?

@ Zaza: Found a stroller! Great condition, for R1800. Its a Chicco Cortina Keyfit one, with car seat and base all included for the price. Almost new, bought it from people whose 12 month old cant sit still and they only used it for a few months. Score, because its R6000 at BabyCity!

In general, feeling a bit like all I want is a cup of warm milk tea and lying in bed with a movie, but here I am, bravely sticking it out at work. Hope you ladies are ALL well, and feeling great.

Hello ladies,

I'm in cape town... Yayyyyyyyy... Finally getting in touch from south Africa.

The flight was good..for first two days I was busy setting up everything at home.. And now kinda getting back to routine .the weather is cold for me and I'm trying to cope with that. Otherwise all good. My little one is getting active day by day. Feeling so much movements.

Myself Nisha.im indian and my hubby moved to capetown last month. And i came last week. Though i loved in joburg for a year ,cape town is new and all lovely friends in this forum are helping me in all possible ways. Im so lucky for that. This is my first pregnancy. I'm 22 weeks and 4days now. My due date is 5th December. And I have chosen milnerton medi clinic for my delivery. This is short intro abt me..

Good Morning Ladies

How are we all doing?

I am doing okay... Alot of movement from baba..

Went for my scan and check up on Monday.
Scan was ok-ish... very poor visuals not sure if it is all the food or the equipment... LOL... Baba is situated underneath my bell button lol.. doc says that I was too far ahead for the proper DS screening and recommends that I see a fetal specialist to rule out any probs.
Heartbeat was perfect though. I am apparently 19weeks which brings my EDD to mid-dec...

I decided to settle on a 4d scan which will include an anomaly check. I have booked this for the 19/08... two weeks from now

House hunting is going lol. Found a place in Roodepoort.. So now we just wait it out..

Appetite is growing stronger by the day lol havent had any MS recently.. Starving as I type this lol..

My lil girl is sick AGAIN with a bit of a cold.. runny nose etc..
she has her scots everyday so I dunno hey... and now she enjoys having her medicine too.. I dont have to chase her down and force feed her anymore. Lol.. She is growing up..

Anyway how are all you ladies doing?
