WRT the breastfeeding, I think with my son I was sore for about 2 weeks then all of a sudden my nipples just toughened up. They say rubbing a bit of breastmilk on your nipples after each feed and letting your nipples air dry (or going in the sun, yeah right with this weather lol) helps too.

So weird, my son use to feed from both breasts every feed. Lia will not. She drinks until she is full from the one breast and never takes a second breast. She feeds rather quickly too so I don't want to switch breasts as I want to make sure she gets enough hind milk. On reading though,I've seen that some experts say that feeding from one breast per feed is 100% fine. She is gaining so darn quickly so it must be working for her - little chubster. While I was very lobsided at first, now that my supply is regulating there isn't much of a difference in breast size between each feed.

Yes try the nipple cream it sounds like you are doing everything else right

I also demand feed her... still have to get to know when she is finished with the one breast to put her on the other... but I think I get it somewhat right!

I think I must get me some lansinoh nipple cream and see if that works a bit better...

I think she is latching on right as most of the aureole is also in her mouth, my nipples are just still a little bit sensitive and not healed from the first couple of times!

Hi Pinky, your girl is gorgeous! And such a nice healthy weight

I also had a c-section and the wound was painful for atleast 10 days but after that I could move around easy and the pain got better every day.

Luke is now 3 weeks old and has settled into a nice routine. Feeding every 3 hours during the day and at night he goes with a stretch of 5 hours between feeds which is great cause I can have a nice long sleep

Breastfeeding is going very well and he is picking up weight nicely too. I feed him for about 10 minutes on each breast, I wait for him to come off the 1st breast or fall asleep on the breast and then I offer him the second breast this way the one boob doesn't get engorged with milk, this is what they told me at the breastfeeding clinic and it works very well. I also burp him between the 2 breasts so he wakes up a little bit more to suck on the 2nd breast.

Are you demand feeding (ie waiting for her to wake up for her feed). I demand feed Luke as I found he didn't latch quickly if I woke him up to feed.

Regarding it being sore, is she latching properly? I find that the first few sucks can be a bit sore but then its fine after wards. I use lansinoh nipple cream after every feed and I don't have sore or cracked nipples so you can try this.
