heart MOVED FROM PF - APRIL 2010

I'm so glad I'm not the only impatient one. My due date is on Friday and I can't wait!! Just repacked my bags lol.
I guess some of us are destined to be the statistics that show most first time mommies are late...

How are you feeling today?

26 April was the date my life changed forever - I heard the sound of Katie's voice for the first time.

I think we're all getting the same reaction! Whenever I phone someone, they immediately think it's because I want to tell them I'm in labour and many of them wouldn't even be on my list of people to inform! Oops ;)

All my friends who were due around the same date as me have now officially become moms already which makes me even more impatient! I told my husband that this baby definitely takes after him - it'll do everything LAST MINUTE! I think this little one is staying put for now...

Still drinking my raspberry leaf tea & inserting the Evening Primrose Oil capsules though so I'm still persevering!

So the few of us left obv have little baba's that are very warm and cosy!!! :)

@ Sweetiepie... I have the same issue with ppl phoning - or when we phone for anything the first question is "Are you in labour" As if I would be phoning the entire family just to announce that i'm in labour!!!

Hi Ladies! So glad I found you...the PF was really starting to frustrate me.
@ Claudia_B: I also can't believe that my due date is on Wed and nothing has happened yet...I am really starting to get impatient now. And getting a little tired of people phoning to find out if I have popped yet :S

I hope the rest of the ladies find this site as well...I miss reading about all the preggy complaints, everyone wondering who will be next, and the mommies who have already given birth giving us updates on their little bundles.

Hi Everyone. I cant believe my EDD is tuesday and I'm still waiting. Am tired and fed up, but trying very hard not to be since as long as baby is fine they will wait to induce. Read a journal article from the australian journal of obstetrics that most 1st time babies arrive 11 days after their dd. That means if I'm average I might have to wait till the end of April!!!!!!

It was my SIL wedding yesterday, and it was lovely. Funnily though my hubbies family are all scottish and my husband was weraing his kilt. A lot of the guests thought we lived in Scotlad too and I had about 5 people come p to me and ask how I managed to get an airline to let me fly. Good grief!!!!

Right! I think I've found you ladies :)

Sooooo excited that this site actually works and isn't moving at a snail's pace.

I'm 39 weeks and 2 days at the mo (with my first one, sex unknown) and started my homeopathic induction cocktail on Friday night - so far, nothing has happened, but I've only had about 1cm out of a 10cm bottle...looooong wait ahead of me still. I'm so impatient at this point. I'm very happy that my doc isn't a fan of letting you go over too far, so on Friday we'll talk about inducing on Sat or Mon.

@Beansmom: I bought my raspberry leaves at Dischem (about R20 for a box). I was drinking about 750ml a day and nothing happened. I've read that it's about making labour 'more effective' so drinking it at 37 weeks wouldn't have helped much **tut**. I stopped as I think the tea was affecting my teeth, but will start again on Monday.

@Mommy21: "Not sure how my hospital works but I hope I am allowed to walk around after they've administered the drugs"
What drugs are you talking about?
To the best of my knowledge, once you've had drugs, your mobility is hindered (I think an epi will render you bed ridden).
I'm in a hospital and have opted for a water birth so that I can stay active and without drugs, until I change my mind or try to kill my DH lol.

Sorry for the long post, but I've so missed catching up with you ladies B)

I was just as impatient. I went walking with my dogs EVERY day and I am sure that did the trick. My baby came at 38 weeks. I was so glad, really couldn't walk any longer and if one more person had to tell me I was carrying "high" and would walk another four weeks, I would have screamed.

Good luck to you all. Can't wait to hear when your babies arrived!
