touch wood mm nappie change. She doesnt go to sleep if i put her straight into her cot so gotta sit another 5 mins.

Wd tried this evening to get her to sleep in her swing. It kinda worked. Just had to sit with my hand on her chest and she settled but was quite restless and had to go to her a few times. She never quite settled and eventually woke for food. Im hoping its just a stage that she will outgrow.

Additional comments on my birth. I always said natural over elective c/sec but elective over emergency. So because she was breech, at 35w we booked c/sec date so wd had just over 3 weeks to prepare for it. I dont know if it was hormones or what but I was extremely calm thru the surgery and actually see it as a good experience as i was prepared for it. I did not want to be in labour for hours only to be told we must go c. Then you are exhausted, not prepared and disappointed, perhaps in your self.

Re age gap, i think somewhere between 2 and 2.5 years is what id like. So when she's a year we'll discuss when to start trying again. Thats only 10.5 month away! But if i want a chance at vbac it cant be sooner than that. After our positive c experience maybe we'll choose to go that route. I find recovery was relatively quick and you dont really get time to exercise before 6w anyway.

Catch you later.

Hello again.

Bronz hope you got back to sleep quickly.

K fed at 10 and now at 2 again. The last while its been a 5hr gap but tonight only 4. So here's hoping we'll have a long stint now. I napped i the lounge till 1 so only really slept 45mins in bed b4 now.

Vash I also feel bad to wake DH as he has to get up early but sometimes its not cool as i dont get to catch up on sleep anywhere even if i had a bad night.
We braai'd at in laws today. Was so nice, SIL took her during lunch so I could eat. And after the braai MIL took her and wd slept for 2 hours. It was so nice not to have to worry about her waking up or anything.
As always though, whenever other people around she is good as gold so they dont see the struggle we sometimes have. She was quite good tonight at least. Took long for her to fall asleep and she kept waking, but at least there was no crying.

K was on water tablets till this past Monday. I really thought that once stopped her bowel movements would become less full and less frequent but they are just the same, only not always as runny. I was looking forward to not having to always change her at night but not that lucky.
Its that time for me now so catch you later.

Hi ladies.

We travelled safely, although trip was delayed :( we only left Joburg @ 15:00, so got to Venda at 21:00. LG was tired of being in her car seat & was feeling too hot, so she cried most of de time. Now I dread driving with her down to KZN :( do you think she'l be better in December wen she's 5.5months old or shuld I book plane tickets now!?
Anyway she bathed, fed & was asleep by 10pm, woke up now @ 2am.

Vash DH also wants 5kids! I'm ok with 2 (max 3). . . Hope u r sleeping well even thou ur hubby isn't there.

Regarding labour, was happy with my gynae. She let me go past my due date & she was going to induce if I went more than 5days past EDD. On de 3day though I went into labour, Una wasn't "active" during contractions & then there was meconium in water so had to go for emergency c-sec.
I'm ok with it as me & baby r ok and healthy. During de 1st few days, Dr said I must take pain meds b4 I even felt de pain.
Hoping for natural birth next time & my gynae is ok with it. So wil hv to wait atleast 2yrs b4 next pregnancy, which is a good age gap I think.

Ok time to nap :cheer:

Hey Ladies

Yay G went to his old habit of sleeping till 2 (almost :P). Lets hope next wake up at 5 or 7 will do.

For me its not so much that I had a C section, its that I may never experience natural birth.

We want 4 kids, 2 at least. I would like to look at adopting 1 little baby.No idea why, just always wanted to.

Going to get my hair cut today and to Naartjie to spend vouchers before they expire.

Soryy bitsy. cant seem to wake properly and he done now.

NIght ladies chat just now
:)

Hi girly. I had natural birth with episiotomy and it hurt! I had lots of stitches so sitting down and walking was painful. I would say that things got better around 2 months after Liam was born. We still have our fights but not as much as we used to. My DH does not get up at night for Liam. Liam is really clingy to me and he doesn't let his dad do anything for him so there's no point in him waking up too. He also has to go to work so i just let him sleep. I was really frustrated in the beginning because he got to sleep and i had to get up but now i've accepted it so its much easier. Once K gets older and settles down i'm sure your DH will start enjoying her more. The first few months are tough.
My DH wants 5 children but i will settle on 3. We will plan the next pregnancy in about 2 years so Liam will be around 3 when we have another baby.

Hi ladies. I typed a long message before but it didnt go through so i will try again. Tonight is our first night without DH. He was on call and there was a breakdown so he had to go to work. This new job sucks because he has to work weekends as well. The money is good but i would rather have him home with us.
Sorry you ladies didnt get the birth you wanted but like claudia said, at least the babies are ok. I went into false labour at 35 weeks and was 1cm dialated. I stayed that way until i went into labour 5 days after my due date. Even when i was in labour, 6 hours after it started i was still 1cm. I think i would've been in labour alot longer than 16 hours if they didn't break my water.
Anyway i'm going to try to get some sleep without my DH. Hope you ladies are getting some rest too.

evening girls. Wow you have been so busy today! i like! I just cant remember what everyone said...

Sounds like forced inductions are pretty common its not cool esp if there is still time. Yaz I still love your birth story. Jealous of the all natural and how quick it went. I wanted natural but K had other plans. She was breech from about 20 weeks and never turned. She had the umbilicle cord around her neck twice. Now that its all healed it wasn't so bad. The first 3 days were exceptionally painful & couldn't have enough pain killers. It would have been perfect otherwise except that the stitch was caught on a nerve so until that was removed 10 days later i was im agony. Now though i feel fully recovered and my tummy is almost back to normal just some flabby skin.

How many of you will have another baby and what timing are you thinking!

Claudic i have reuteri drops for her but she has been overdose with meds that she fights it so bad.

Man my mind has good blank i cant remember who said what. Vash glad you are back!

How was DH the first few months & when did it get better. Because K pretty much eats, burps, cramps poos and throws up, he is really struggling cos our nights aren't exactly easy. He does not seem to be enjoying this at all and gets frustrated easily. Ive told him he needs to chill & focus less on the difficult and just enjoy her cos there's loads of positives. Im so sacred he will resent her for this but she cant help it she is not like this on purpose. Shes just a baby. Wish he would just relax a bit.

Ok sleep time. K down till about 2 i hope so let me gel 2hrs sleep. Chat laters.
