Morning Ladies

Well we did things a bot differently tonight. We have had Graeme on Isomil for a one a day feed. Hubby wanted to try G on normal cows milk based formula, so we got SG26 gold for him. I normally give him 120ml isomil, but by following the instructions for SG26 I should give 250. I thought he would never take that so made 200 and he polished that off and then made another 50 and he just shy of polishing that off. I can not believe how much he had.
I dont know if that is good or not yet. Will wait to judge how he sleeps tomorrow night. Tonight he was woken up 3 times so far but only this time was for a proper feed. 10pm I woke him by mistake and 12 hubby came home and woke him by mistake.

Hubby has woken up with me now and G is loving on him. Delatches and just smiles at hubby. It very cute but now means he wont sleep for a while.

I dont fins myself hungry in the night and maybe tMI but I need the loo most nights. Rather annoying.

I am prob going to study tomorrow but I am keen on going to a beach. Do you ladies know of any good ones?

@ Patty - goodluck with your road trip tomorrow and enjoy the weekend with the family
Glad to hear Una slept during the day makes a huge difference at night hey?

@Girly - so exciting, Miss K's first outing, I still remember how excited (and nervous) I was with Peyton's first outing. Was fussing around her a bit too much until DH told me to relax. :-)

@Yaz, hope Miss Lilly is catching her Z's finally! Re midnight snacks, I'm one of unhealthy eaters that can eat anytime of the night and day. DH just made me a snack now so feel a lot better :-)

She is almst asleep now so can hopfully get some sleep myself, catch up in a few hours

Girly I hope she'l behave in de car, we'l hv to stop often thou so might take longer than 6hrs.

Regarding midnigh hunger, I have water & juice. I avoid eating so late as I'll get bloated. But by 6am I'm ready for breakfast :) breastfeeding drains all energy out of me.

Nighttime nappy changes r so not fun :(

Hi Girly, Yaz

Glad to see you both here.

Yaz Peyton used to do that as well feed for 3-5 minutes and then she is sleeping, always worry that she is not getting enough. But tonight she fed for over 20 minutes.

I still struggle to latch her comfortably sometimes believe it or not.
You' think I would have figured it out by now.

Miss P was ver irritable before and after her bath today, not sure why, slept at 20h30 and got up now at 1h30 but struglling to put her off. Very fussy tonight...

im here Yaz! Hope that Lilly is falling asleep. This must be so tough on you. How does she sleep during the day? And how often?
Our paed is Dr Jan Vermeulen at Panorama. I think you will love him. He absolulely loves children and only wants the best. He is also well connected with specialists as did his residency at Groote schuur.

I hear you on the hunger! But i hunger snacky bad stuff. I have my jungle juice next to me. It will have to do!

Patty so glad your day went better. And off to a good night so far. Wow 6 hrs is a loop trip! Hope she likes the car. Remember to pack lots of water and snacky stuff so you can stay hydrated and energized.

Whats everyone doing tomorrow? Kaylee is going on her very first social outing! We are going to the in laws for a braai. Gonna take out our new handy cam for the first time to mark the occasion.

Guys, I'm still here :( Is anybody up? Fed Missy again in the meantime and changed two enormous poo nappies. White noise cd is running in the background and she's quiet but still wide awake. I'm starving to death by now, think I'll stock up on some Jungle bars and keep them next to the feeding chair. Where's everyone? Hope this means you're all getting a good night's sleep! x

Hello night moomies :) my little munchkin went to bed early, just after eight, so now she was hungry again which is quite unusual for her. Now she thinks it's party time - sigh, she thinks must've skipped the relevant chapter in the Baby Sense book again when she last read it. She only fed three minutes again though. I can see myself getting up at three to express as she stimulates my milk production hectically with her wild night mini feeds. Nikki, forgot to reply yesterday: I'm getting hungry too in the middle of the night, blame it on the breastfeeding. In fact, I'm starving right now but too lazy to go downstairs. Girly, K is doing so so well, you can be really proud. Sounds like a brilliant paed. What's his name and is he at Panorama? Need a new one for Lilly once we've moved to that side. About the fights with dh: we had a couple of hectic ones as well but it's already getting better, hubby seems to understand more and more how tough it can be to be with baba the whole day. I really shouldn't complain, he's extremely involved and does a lot to relieve me in the evenings and on weekends. Yet we do have our moments. I suppose there's no relationship in the world that doesn't take strain once a newborn is around. I hate fighting with Lilly being present too though!! Ok, I think it's the white noise cd for us now, somebody's way to awake for that hour. Later mommies x
