I have exactly one month left before ou 2nd LB is due - we can't wait! Some evenings and nights are going by with little sleep (the joy of prgenancy aches and pains)

The long weekend is coming to an end we'l be heading back to Joburg tomorrow.
It was so hot here in Limpopo, Una was wearing just her nappy.

Vash I'm using E45 cream. Dermatologist told me to change Johnson product cos he's been seeing few babies also having skin problems with it

trying to put princess to sleep, so tired.

Weight? I am still sitting with about 3kgs left to go, but am fitting back into most of my clothes now ( a bit more snuggly than I was before). I think the breastfeeding has gotten rid of the weight that will come off on its own, and its up to me to get off my fat bum and back to gym:) I'm supposed to be doing two oceans next year, but so far have only run one 10km:)

I try to express in the morning, but dont do it that often. I hate it - it makes me feel like I am being milked, so I only do it when my back up supply in the fridge is getting low (he only gets a bottle when hubby and I have a date night or if I run late with a patient, so so far he has had a total of 5 bottles in his life. He had his first one at 12 weeks, and has never refused a bottle (I have tt) We just usually squeeze a bit of milk onto the teat so tat he knows what he is going to get. My hubby can use bathtime as his bonding time, I refuse to express everyday, just so that he can feed James:)

@ Vash the Blackberry Elixer is a tonic that is supposedly good for milk production, although I also took it when I was preggies. You can make jungle juice (breastfeeding juice with it) -
50mls blackberry elixer
1 litre apple juice
1 sachet blackcurrant rehydrate
2 l water (I used 1 l water, 1 litre rooibos tea)
which makes 3 l that you should drink over 24hours.
I dont make it any more, but in the beginning I went through ehydrate and blackberry elixer like there was no tomorrow!

I think you should check with your Gynae re the bleeding. That doesnt sound right? My firend in the UK had a baby at the beginning of August. She has also ben bleeding intermittantly, until on thursday night she felt a pull and started bleeding quite badly. Turns out that her body never got rid of all the birth debri and it wasnt picked up at the 6 week check. She had to go in for a D and C on the weekend!

Re burping, I stopped at about 12 weeks. I think I went longr than necc, but I was scared to stop earlier because of his colic. He lets rip so loud and spontaneously now:) (both ends actually)

Hi mommies. Last night wasn't too bad. Only got to bed at 11pm but Liam was asleep from 8.30. He got up at 10, 1.30am and then 5am so i managed to get some sleep. Also had to wake up early for church.
Bronz, DH and i haven't really discussed adoption but it doesn't matter to me what race the child is.
Yaz, my MIL always carries Liam even when he is sleeping. I don't like to carry him when he's asleep because i want him to get used to sleeping in his cot. Sometimes when we go shopping and she is with us, she will want to carry him and after 5mins she will get tired and give him back to me and then take him again after 5 mins. I find it really annoying. I don't ever let anyone wake him up when he's sleeping.
Girly, i had Liam 4 months ago and i still haven't lost all the weight. I gained 16kgs and i only lost half of it. I seem to be stuck now. I'm on the mini pill and i think that's whats making me not lose the weight. I had to buy pants 1 size bigger because i think my hips will never go back to pre preg size. Re expressing, i used to express in the morning after i fed him. He usually drinks on 1 boob at a time so i express the other side. If you bottle feed you can feed the same time everyday so your body will stop producing milk for that feed.
Nikki, i stopped burping Liam at around 8 weeks but that's just at night. I don't worry so much about burping him during the day too because he usually burps on him own. Re the flabby belly, i also have 1 but it seems to be going away on its own. I tried exercising but everytime i do i start bleeding. Anyone know why this happens?
Patty. I also have eczema but it only bothers me when i'm out in direct sunlight or if i year woollen clothing. Try E45 cream. It really helps.
Yaz, what is the schlehen elixir for? Sorry for asking such a stupid question but i never heard of it before.

Morning feeding time for Ms Lilly, hope she goes back to sleep after that. I struggled to fall asleep after my last post and hubby's and Lilly's noises also didn't help. Oh dear, madam is wide awake after her feed and giggling away, too cute. Girly, forgot to reply earlier we don't bath Lilly during the week, just top and tail, she gets to hyper from bathing. Nikki, I hate it when people disturb me while I'm feeding her! The other day my colleagues came to our place for a work meeting and our reception lady - an older tannie - started fidgeting on my nipple to show Lilly where to latch, can you believe it!? That was probably one me the most awkward situations in my life lol! Alrighty, someone demands my full attention now. x

Morning ladies

My princess has been up since 12h30, it is now 4h00....
Fed her and she was asleep 1/2 hour later, so asked DH to put her down. She got up so he tried giving her what was left of the bottle. She fell asleep a few times but got up everytime he moved or put her down. After 3 hours of this she is obviously hungry again so he hands her to me. I was awake the whole time as I wanted him to be able to feed her and make her asleep on her own. It was very frustrating to watch, shame he was trying so hard, too hard I think because she obviously sensed it. Little rascal, she is sleeping now, will put her down in a moment.

Yaz thanks for letting us know re-speial, will get some tomorrow. My sister is taking us out for breakfast and then off to the mall for a quick dash, don't want her out too long. Dogs were fine yesterday, we didn't give them any shots, they were both hiding under the table shame they were so scared.

I also hate it when family/friends wake up a sleeping baby-i never allow it and politely point out she is sleeping and that they can carry her when she gets up. The last time we took her to DH's family she was poked and prodded by the little kids who interrupted me during her feeds and then was passed from pillar to post when the poor kid woke up. First and last time I will visit when she is that young. I cringed each time a new person held her and shouted in her face "hello baby"
Girly BTW the snookums dummy never worked for us, its seems only the NUK stays in the longest.
I stopped expressing during the day because I demand feed every 1 - 3 hours and there is no time. At night I'm just too exhausted to express.

I haven't started excersing yet, still have a very flabby untoned belly-had this post pregnancy. I put on 5kg during my pregnancy and lost it all when I went for my 6 w check up and an additional 6 kg. I was carrying around extra weight post pregnancy anyway.

Girly did you get all your shopping done and did you come right with all your purchases?

Am thoroughly exhausted now and DH is snoring as loud as a trumpet
Hopefully get some shut eye now.

Hope everyone is having a good night. Mine is going well so far, me & LG went to bed 20:30 and she's waking up every 3hrs for a feed
It's so hot here, had to bath Una twice yesterday as she got niggly wen hot. She has eczema problem, so it gets itchy we she's hot

yaz ur MIL is being nasty mayb once, leave her to calm de baby after she wakes her up
