Hi ladies
Sorry been so scarce. Hardly have time or energy to reply to msg's at night, I'm feeling rather exhausted. Last night I typed a reply and pushed the exit button by mistake, and by then it was time to go back to sleep.
Nikki I feel your pain. Wow being awake for 6hrs when you could be getting valuable sleep is hectic. Re the camping cot and her not sleeping as long, maybe cos there's less surrounding her? Have you got a body wedge that keeps her from rolling onto her stomach? Or roll 2 receiving blankets and tuck it next to either side of her that she feels more secure? Dont know if youve been told but we were advised at antenatal class to put them with feet at the bottom of the cot, so that they cannot slide down and have their blanket cover their faces and suffocate.
Yaz that's awesome hun! So happy that you got some rest and time to unpack. Hopefully you're settling into your new home now. Must mail you about a get together still.
Gerne wow look at that tummy! Looks like you're only carrying in your tummy though. Beautiful!
What's your birth plan?
Vash glad you got home safely and had a good trip and a nice long sleep!
Re putting baby down to fall asleep - this seems like an impossible task as she only falls asleep in our arms! Please give some advice. I have read countless times to put them down when they are drowsy and then pat their nappies until they dose off. But try as I may, the second I put her down she is awake again and eventually just gets agitated and then I have to pick her up again. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and do it properly to avoid problems later on.
Claudia & Bronz & Patty - cool on the sleeping through. That's awesome!
Kaylee quite likes her swing. Very occasionally she'll fall asleep here if she's been dosing on my shoulder, but never stays asleep longer than 30mins, even with the swing going and the white noise on.
I see a few of your babies feed less than 3hourly during the day. Sister told me to stretch it to 3hours as she's gaining weight too quickly, but since her growth spurt, she's sticking to 2 / 2.5hrly. Seems by what I see here that this can be the norm?
Went to gynae for my follow up today and got all clear for back to normal. Can still feel some internal stitches which apparently take up to 3 months to dissolve. Got script for the mini pill, and he said (as Ive heard before) that with breastfeeding, you generally wont ovulate so taking it at the exact same time is not that vital. But heard from antenatal class that it has to be feeding 4 hourly.
Kaylee has been very niggly today again. She was even moaning on the breast

Gotta get going now, hubby been trying to get her to sleep but not successful and now she's overtired in her swing. So I better get her to sleep quick before it ends up being a very long night.
BTW do any of you cluster feed to extend the night time feeds?
I'm sure there was more I wanted to ask but now I cant recall.
Enjoy your evenings!
