Chris's babies have been discharged and her DH had to take them home. She says he has never cried so much not being able to go home as a family :(

Carmen- get yourself some Iron supplements, it can only help. I feel horrible when my iron is low.

MommyN- iDr said after 2kg they can come off preNan and go onto regular Nan but I actually put them on Lactogen, C really loved it and got lekker chubby on it so I'm hoping it'll do the same for the boys cos Dr wasn't happy with their weight gain. They seem to be enjoying it and besides the initial constipation they haven't had any problems.

I haven't really been allowing the tweenies to stay awake between feeds, if they are awake they must still lay in their cots, just because I was expressing and needed 40min in between every feed. I suppose it's time I do start stimulating them. Goodness I hate this baby stagen just wish I could fast forward to the sitting walking talking phases. I'm loving this 2 year old stage C is at, especially now he's starting to talk and he says "come on mommy get up" "my mommy, my mommy" "love you mommy, kiss?" It makes the first horrible phase so worth while

Binks- have you tried the lansinoh nipple ointment. It's really amazing, it's flippin expensive but that little tube goes a long way, in 6w I have used 1/3 of the tube because I only need it from time to time, I haven't had cracked or pulled or bloody nips once this time even with the expressing and I swar it was because of that ointment.

Oh, C can occasionally be nasty to the twins too when he wants attention so it's not just 1 year olds.

MommyN - thanks for the update on Chris.

Chris hope you are discharged on Saturday!

Hats off to all the mommies who have other LO's also to take care of.

Binks - they you LG's are so similar- and the hair is just so gorgeous!

I think my iron level may be low, feeling more tired and my vision is blurry. I'm quite moody - don't really get angry but rather teary.
Still 6 weeks to go, 4 if we have to have a CS.

Vix- Maryke-Binks-Yvette-MommyN- nice to see you on line. The thread has been extremely quiet.

Hayley wrote on the "get better soon Chris" forum...

"I spoke to Chris yesterday, she is still in hospital and isolation, so she is not even allowed to see her babies and they MIGHT discharge her on Saturday"

Shame man, Chris, I know you are missing your babas, just hang in there and get the rest that you need! Holding thumbs that you are released on saturday!

Hi

Chris - hope you are getting better!!! Has anyone heard from Chris?

Maryke - hope your new domestic gets into the groove and helps you! Shame, you had a terrible time last year with your Paulina! Glad you are enjoying your sleep. Am sure you will survive one more month!

Nathan was only awake an hour last night. He sleeps 3-4 hours during the day, then is awake for an hour sometimes 2 hours. The problem is he is a bit "ma-vas" already! Just niggles if I put him down, so I hold him or put him next to me until he is fast asleep, not just closing his eyes! I am at a loss as to how to stimulate him during the day - safely - with a 16 month old. I have a play gyn and those king f things, but where do I put it where Missy cant get to him. For now, I can put it on our bed bec he is not rolling, but Missy has learnt to push something to the bed to get onto to it. So if I do this, I cannot turn my back. I am so scared she will push him off. If I put him on the floor, she just goes crazy and runs and falls on him. What do the other mommies do? I do ot recommend a baby and one year old! He he he

Vix, what formula are you going to use? Can Alex and Jono go onto the normal formula now? How is the colic?

Mina.... any news?

Binks, cant believe how similar the girls are! Is Arwen enjoying her little sister?

Kimika - do you really need a nappy bag? I use a few different bags, depending on the day. Why not buy yourself a nice back pack type bag or beach kind of bag. I was given a nice big bag from a lady at Crafter market - I'll show you. I was given 2 actual nappy bags at my stork party for Missy, and honestly, they are a waste of time. I wold rather buy myself a nice big bag. Woolies has some nice beach bags!

Everyone else - sorry no more personals, Missy is unpacking my drawers now... got to run! Nap time... yay!

Take care everyone!
