What do you gals mean about liking my honesty? LOL You have me chuckling and I don't even know why. Is it because I say exacrtly what I'm thinking or feeling?

MommyN- must have been good to chat to your own gynae about your birth experience, a bit of off loading.

I have enough EBM in the freezer to give them 2 more weeks worth so that'll take them to 8w which is the same more or less as C got so I don't feel so bad now.

Hi,

Chris, I am thinking of you! Hope all ok? How is the A team.

Vix and Maryke, I really take my hat off to you girls, one newborn is hard enough but two...

Vix, WELL DONE for being a great mommy and giving breast milk until now. I fully understand how difficult it is for you to both express, breastfeed and carry on with normal life! Plus, its a really tough decision. Glad to hear the clot is better. Hope the colic is also getting better, or under control. Its so nice that you found something that works! I think i am going to get some Bennetts for one or two of those difficult feeds. We seem to be going th esame way with Nathan as we did with Sarah - a touch colicy from 6 weeks.

Oh, yes, Maryke and Vix, I cant believe the twins are 6 weeks old! The time flies!

Mommies, sorry you are battling with sleep - I am so there too! I have resorted to letting Nathan fall alseep with me in the middle of the night - else I am up for 2 to 3 hours once or twice a night and just cant cope. DH doesnt agree but he doesnt sit up with Nathan, does he?

AFM, saw my gynae, he was so shocked to hear the whole story and he spent time chatting and finding out how I am. I left Nathan with Nana, so he and the girls at the practice were sad not to see Nathan. I'll take him with to my 3 month check up - had the Mirena put in. So the factory is kind of closed - for now - until we win the lottery and can afford a full football team! LOL

He also said its understandable to still be a bit eina at times, 6 weeks is the normal recovery time, but Nathan was a very difficult birth, both physically and mentally! Time will heal!

Mina - how are you?????? News??????

Asp, Ster, Carmen, Yvette, Chan, Lizz, Marie, Binks, hope you are all well!

Chan, Kade is doing so well!!!

Ster - your folks arrive tomorrow! Enjoy!

Yvette - I was disappointed with Greys last night, seemed weak to me (but maybe thats just me). Hope the 3 hour feeds soon become 4 hour feeds with Emma!

Kimika and Meags, sorry, I dont get a chance to pop into the Mar/Apr threads anymore. But am always thinking of you all! I miss being preggies!!!

Sorry, no time for spell check... gotta run and see to Sarah and try put Nathan down. ANd then its supper time, bath time and the night routine starts! Where does the day go? And I must still write my birth story...

xxx

Vix - What a brave decision to make, on both issues. I agree with Yvette - re the honesty.

I am giving up on the expressing, yesterday was a nightmare home alone trying to express in between feeds and my 2 year old stood in front of me with tears in his eyes asking me to stop expressing and put it down. it's just impossible, i had to stop mid flow 6 times to see to Alex and Jono aswell and one of the times i came back to find 100ml all over the floor where the bottle had tipped.

I'm slightly sad that i can't give EBM for longer but i know it's not really viable being home alone with the boys. If i was breast feeding directly it wouldn't be a problem, i can if and but all i want but i have already come to terms that 6w of EBM just has to be enough.

So i was at the gynae for my 6w check up, he's happy the clot is completely gone, he gave me tabs to dry my milk reluctantly though i might add, only after i had to provide him with a good enough excuse not to BF anymore LOL and............... He actually agreed to my steralization which i will go in for on 2nd Feb! He wasn't impressed i was asking for it at 28 years old but he did agree that after 3 boys i do indeed have my hands full and he can understand why we feel it's time close the factory. I'm actually quite excited, it's like turning the lock on the door of having babies which really feels good, i feel like i can get on with the next chapter of my life.

Hi Vix
Thanks for the list of meds. I must still get and there are a few things on your list I don't have on mine.

Hope all goes well at the gynae.

Morning ladies,

Sitting at the gynae for my 6w. Check up, getting out the house alone with twins is quite some feat but we managed.

MommyN- hope your check up goes well today. How's the thrombosis?

Kimika- how's your pregnancy going dol?

You ladies who are still preggers......... I was thinking about you last night, I hope your cupboards are stocked and you have everything ready for baby's arrival ecause you're gettinng to that stage where it could be anytime now, you just never know when it might be look at MommyN........

Also thought of a meds list you might want to run through:

Surgical spirit
Mercurochrome (helps to dry out the cord stump if it's taking long to come off)
Telement drops for winds
Panado paed syrup ( you can give 1ml from birth if needed)
Buscopan (helps for bowel spasms)
Bennetts colic mix (worked like the bomb, not all babies suffer colic but when the first bout strikes at 3w old you'll wish you hasd something that works)
Hand sanitizer (great for using after changing dirty nappy before dressing baby)
Saline nasal spry
Nasal aspirator
Thermomiter
Gaviscon in case of acid reflux give 1ml per feed
Lacson- in case of baby's constipation on formula give 5ml per day
Gel heat pack in case of tummy cvramps

You might not need everything but at least if you have it at home then it's there if you do.
