Vix, I also had poste a loooong post yesterday and its gone, and how a moaned and had to vent, and now how do you vent when when you dont need to???

Anyway, yesterday, we went to plaza to get an idea of prices and things, didn't get anythign yet as we still shopping aorund the prices there are very good though).. We also went to the big baby city just to compare and see what we like and is more suitable.

Anyway, after the plaza, we went to Garden City to go see the maternity ward and the NICU, at first they didn't really want us to go in but I told them that that is the deciding factor for me to stay to go there or somewhere else. They were so accommodating, took us in for a tour, there was this small baby and I had told dh to go see it, and I followed the sister to another room, there was a 28w baby, 3days old, she was so small, actually TINY!! Her little foot was about half the size of my pinky, she was on ventilator as she couldn't breathe on her own yet and feedign breastmilk 1ml every hour. It was quite and eye opener for us, (yest a bit comforting in some way), I really pray my babies go past 28w, hoping to get to 34w at least. The sisters also said that my fs is excellent with multiples and if I go ther to stay with, 2 months ago he delivered quadruplets, they had good weights apparently. The sister said that they get very excited when they hear that there are triplets or quads been delivered there. At least now I can say I will be staying with my FS, he knows about the complications and I dont have to go through going to a new doc and introducing us and going through our whole history etc.

Everythign in my pregnancy, from beginning to end is just a reminder of my mom, how some things are symbolic/relating to her. Maybe I just see too much into it, (although my sister too), but garden city is where my mom was daignosed with cancer, where she had her lumpectomy, us having boy/2 girls, same as her, and our boy will be out first (my brother is the oldest), it has just worked out all weird, but a good weird in some odd way.

Marie, congrats on the baby boy!!

Vix, thanks for the list!

Maryke, glad you got some things, Im sure we will making a trip back to plaza.

Today was my cousins baby shower, it was really nice to dress up and go out and be with the family, I haven't seen many and all the congrats and big eyes and commenting how small I am for triplets at 3 months, I said that I have to enjoy it for now cos I'm soon gonna look like a beached whale! :silly: But it was a nice day, great weather!

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Hi Ladies.

Sorry for only logging in know but I had a hectic but nice weekend so far.

My 4d Scan was amazing on Saturday. It was so nice to see baba again. Can't believe how much they grow in 3 weeks time. Ok so we know what baba's sex is.

Jip. Eduan is getting a brother.
All the family & friends are so surprised, they've thought that we're having a girl.

So know I can start to plan the baby room & unpack all Eduan's stuff to see what I still can use & what I need to buy.

Sorry but I have no time for personals.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Morning ladies,

I posted nice long posts yesterday and now they have disappeared! very very disappointing!!!

Our names are Alexander Elwyn (Alex) and Jonathan Vincent (Jono), i have to have very English names because of my very English family who pronounce names like Johan as Yan and that would irritate the crap out of DH. The first names are just 2 that we liked but the middle names are my DH's names Elwyn Vincent. We couldn't come up with middle names that we liked so DH made a joke about putting his names in there and as much as we don't like family names we just decided to do it for fun LOL

Chris- my tummy isn't 'dancing' so much, these babies seem to move the most when squished so when i sit or lay on my sides. I feel it quite strong now but it doesn't really show that much, i think i still have a nice insulated layer of flab from the 1st pregnancy LOL

Maryke- DH also just started feeling babies move this week, he enjoys that i think. Thanks for the tip about the rocker chair, can you maybe take a pic? I have one bouncing chair so i will only be buying 1 more but i was looking at something around R400 anyways so not that bad of a price.

I am not suffering heartburn (or what i think heartburn might be) but terrible indigestion especially at night. it feels like my whole chest goes hard. I tried to lay on my right side and baby 1 wanted to know nothing about that and kicked terribly until i switched to my left but on my left i get chest pain so can't really win with comfort.

I officially said goodbye to my 'lady' last night, i can no longer see my VJ no matter which angle i turn or twist into, not even my pubic hair so that means it's time to use a mirror and clean her off completely! LOL this is all happening so fast, last time i said good bye to my girl probably only at about 7/8m and here i am at 5m still with so long to go. I said to DH last night "i have officially seen the last of my 'lady' for 2010, roll on 2011 for the reunion! LOL

SexyHexy- i wrote out my whole list for you yesterday and now the post is missing but I'll post it again just now..........

because I'm having boys again i already have everything for 1 so now my list is just everything for 1 (except baby grows because i desperately want them to be in matching outfits, why not, they are the only twins in the whole family after all and seeing as they are same sex i should use it to my advantage!)

for big things i think you should be getting on your trip..... my list in order of importance (after pram and car seats) would look like this:

Angelcare breathing pad if sleeping the twins in separate cots otherwise it's useless. R800

Soft portable carry cot R300. I think this is going to be a great help with twins if you go visiting because they can both be laid in the carrycot on a bed and not roll off, i used mine the first time to put C out in the garden with me, he slept under a tree and i read books and sunbathed.

BF BRA's R500. Or in your case bottles, lots of, i survived with 3 bottles with my boy but wow, i was so tired of washing them all day long so i would definitely say min 8 per baby because you will be too tired to wash bottles all day (and my belief is any DH who says no they will wash bottles every day will have stopped by 2m when they get bored)

Cot mattress if using extra cot R200

Hi ladies

sjoe haven't posted in a while had lost of catching up to do.

We or I have decided on names hubby says he is not good with that kind of stuff all he wants is if there's a boy if he can have the family name yeks I am not that big on family names but I have done double barrels with the grannies names just because they felt left out if there is a boy and they get a family name eish we always aim to please

if it's two girls it will be Mischke-Mari and Llewelyn-Jade if two boys it will be Diederik Arnoldus aka Aiden and Llewely Leon, if boy/girl boy Diederik Arnoldus aka Aiden and Mischke-Mari, I know complicated hey so if I only have girls I will have all double barrel names long names for such tiny people, ok that was a mouth full

Vix I got the best thing at the plaza yesterday it is two baby rockers with feeding trays if you lift the feeding tray it becomes a handle to carry them best for home and going to visitors and restaurants they recline all the way down so they can sleep in it as well and it's a rocker and a feeding chair and a carry chair R290-00 each normal bouncers at the baby companies cost about R800 and don't have all these features

Ok what else have I missed

My dad got two car seats at the plaza yesterday but the ones from 9m - 5 y for R625 each my lo's car chair my dad paid R1200 3 years ago

My belly button popped 2 months ago and it's grossing me out my hubby says it look's like I have a thrid nipple and my lo loves pushing it back and it's very sensitive

Lizelle sorry about your counsin's daughter hope the funeral wasn't to sad

Chan hope you feel better soon looks like we making turns with the flu :S

I am going to the Makro today they have a special on there trampolines with the netting for R 1700 marked down from R3000-00 for my lo's birthday in a month

Ladies I don't know if you had the same problem this weekend, with the nice weather we had this weekend I wanted to put a t-shirt and sandels on for my lo and guess what nothing fits only her shorts jeez it was summer 4 months ago so have to go clothes shopping soon O yes ladies pick 'n pay has nice summer tops I bought 4 and they very cumfy they also have shorts with elastic bands also comfy but the colours aren't that great just bought a white one

Vix are you also uncumfy eish I am starting to battle now and we have 3 months left and this heartburn wow I got heartburn 1 o clock this morning not fun, o hubby felt babies kick on thursday night he was so suprized cause he only felt our lo kick 3 times in my first pregnancy

Ok I think my post is a bit long sorry girls had lots to say

Chris Kiandra is also a nice name :) Good luck with the names for the 3, not sure why the men disagrees on so many nice names we like :)

Hubby and me also don't want family names.
On LO we could'nt decide on a boy name that we agreed on togeter...here's the story to naming LO:

We ended up naming LO - Riaan (Afrikaans), cause late MIL wanted to call him Riaan and his Grandma insisted that his mom named him after his Granddad that passed away before he was born. And then my mom used to tell me that if i were to be a boy they wanted to call me Riaan, so we decided on Riaan, cause the grandparents wanted us to be a "Riaan" - lol. So the first Grand Child on both sides we named Riaan.
I'm so glad i did not turn out to be a boy. :)

Well for the next boy i dont want something "everyday", but afrikaans. So that if it's 2 boys they both have afrikaans names.
Maybe Altus, Ewald (hubby doen't like) or Hanru.
But for a girl i don't mind as long as it's suits the surname..Matthee.

But as i've said...Kayden will it be then. I love so many other girl names as well but hubby's mind is set on Kayden now.

Have a nice weekend all, i'll try to enjoy mine.

Has anyone collected their Discovery Vitality bag - I expected more - What were the contents of yours?

Mine had 2 books - 2 cds - a magazine (small size) 2 samples tiny of J&J and Bennet's - 2 carriwell samples - maternity pad and disposable panty.

All the names sound - beautiful. I have a name for each but don't want to divulge it yet, somehow I feel I will jinx it- sounds silly but I wan to wait until I'm further along.
