Sorry I haven't been on in ages, the kitchen is keeping me very busy with all these people in and out and jono has had a fever since monday.

I phoned the Paed, he says if Jono is going 6hrs between temp spikes then it's probably just a viral thing that will pass in time, if it gets worse or hasn't gone by monday I can bring him in because then it's probably bacterial but I mustn't stress while his temp isn't close to 39 I can just bring Jono in when I have time. Nice of his to be so reassuring on the phone.

Elwyn wrote a story for the men behaving dadly page of L&L and it is going to be printed in the May issue of L&L so watch out for that one guys.

MommyN- sorry the jabs was hectic, I can just imagine what your night was like with both kiddos after the vacs. I'm sure you'll agree the toddler is harder to deal with than the new baby.

Welcome to the new ladies! Sorry I haven't been around much, I feel like I've been running around like a headless chicken. I hope you both enjoy chatting here. I am mom to a 2 year old boy you'll get to know him as 'C' and nearly 4m old boy twins. My hobies are sleeping, sleeping and sleeping although these days I don't get much time to enjoy them, my dislikes aresleep depravation, vomit andf fevers and lately that seems to be all I'm experiencing LOL oh and in case you don't know....... I'm the crazy Brit who speaks a load of cr@p from time to time. I stay in JHB, Benoni

Maryke- we'll have to put coffee off a bit longer since Jono is still not feeling well, must make a plan for next weekend.

Carmen- I'm sorry to hear Mishka is goiving you a hard time with the BF, C was the same, eventually he was drinking every 2nd hour day and night, drove me insane, litterally, I suffered PND with C. Thankfully even though the twins are 3hrly feeding still I have managed to keep my head clear. I hope it eases up soon for you.

Jono only woke the first time to feed at 6am so I can safely say he's sleeping through but Alex is still a 3-4am kinda guy grrrrr

Ster- congrats on Inge's sleep through and also getting her down easier. It's all a matter of 'training' them from an early age, not always the screaming route but just everyday laying them down by themselves to fall asleep until eventually they get it.

so they are coming anywhere from 2-5 minutes apart and lasting about 40 seconds.
its just after midnight here...DH is sleeping.

Hi miksmommy:) still on leave. Have agreed to take on 2 patients next month, but that's it. Enjoying Aaqil so much I don't want to go back. I do miss adult conversation and my independence though...

hi karen - yes its fine from that age. i gave LG 1ml too from then onwards if she needed it. good luck and let us know how things change.

Hi Ladies.... sorry to jump in here, just have a question for you if you'll be so kind as to help me please?
I know you ladies have been talking about Bennets Colic Mixture and I need some advice please (Vix/ Maryke, anyone else) ... my little girl is now two and a half weeks old and she's struggling at night time (actually between 12h00 and 4h00 at night/morning) with cramps or with wind and I was wondering if its safe to give her Bennets Colic mix now already... about 1ml of it instead of the 2.5ml they say from 1month old?
