Jan/Feb 2011 Mommies (Nov & Dec 2010 early babes)

so, this cold of ashley's has turned into ear infection. she is refusing to eat and drink. not sure how to get the meds down her throat. i use empaped then voltaren 3hrs later, then empaped again 3 hrs after that, then ponstan etc... for the fever and pain. she was 39.4*C at 4am this morning and was awake till 5am. emily woke because of all the commotion and only went back to sleep in my arms at 6am. today was hardcore hardcore hardcore.. DH pissed me off big time. i asked him to take ash to dr at 8:30am and he argued that he her own body will fight off the germs and he doesn;t see why she needs to go and get antibiotics. he comes back and said the dr did not prescribe Antibiotics... needless to say she got worse throughout the day and was screaming rubbing her right ear, so i called dr nel back and met him at 3pm to get some. he wants to check her for deydration tomorrow morning at 10am and if she still refuses to drink, she must be admitted to hospital. fine. then craig can go sit there. flippin men. i understand that he highly medically trained but we are his family, not some 'patients' he treats when on duty.

sorry i have not asked about you all. i will do so tomorrow or monday, i am trying pass time to 12:30am to give another suppository to ash. this is the 2nd time she is on antiB now, hope her tum doesn;t get runny.

Thanks Maryke, just another normal day @ home, DH gave some flowers, platter, cake and doughnuts for just us to enjoy.
Didn't invite anyone over, cause DH had to be up @ 4:30am again to go to a fishing competition this morning. He is on his way back now and then we're off to CT again. He want's to go to Killarney race track tomorrow (in Table view) - there will be a Red bull F1 showcar racing. Men!!
Me and the kids will visit my sister for the day! Not going with the LO's to a racetrack.

O'ja why do the bad things always happen to me. With First baby (Riaan) i was BF in the middle of the night (we fell asleep), and so he slipped out of my arms , i grabbed him by the arm just before he landed on the floor, luckily mother instinct kicked in the second he went down. Felt so bad, he didn't even woke up totally (all happend to quick) - i was checking his whole body for if he were ok. He was only 2mnths....
Last night with Kayden, i gave her some colic mixture, and as i wanted to close the bottle i spilled some over her face - still not sure how that happend - i felt like a failure of a mom. I so quickly turned her around face down and same time grabbing wipes and started to clean her (all in her eyes, nose and hair). Shame luckily she was ok. I said to DH why do these things always have to happen to me - i almost drowned her with colic mixture.
Will be some kind of miriacle if i can get them big and save.

AFM. Took Aaqil for his 15 wk vaccines, he is now 5.99 and 64 cm. Below the 50th percentile for weight and above 75th for height. And constantly hungry. So genetically he fits his parents well, skraly and always wanting food:D we've been given the go ahead for cereal. What do you experienced moms recommend for a breastfed baby: cerelac, nestum or purity? Thanking you:)

Yvette, ja that's the only problem with creche well I sent Llewellyn to school with a cold he he shame poor little man, the teacher had a day of note she said she is totally drained I just laughed and told her I had a nice peaceful day for a change
