Jan/Feb 2011 Mommies (Nov & Dec 2010 early babes)

Hi gals!

Sorry I am so scarce, just this house is crazy with the kitchen and the boys witht their fevers.

So Jono's fever went and now Alex has one grrrr it's non stop with 3 kids!

Suhaila- with my first child I used the purity rice cereal but it's really really bland (well they all are really) so I thought I'd try the nestum. Because I saw the cerelac is with milk and you should be starting with an allergen free cereal for now. Alex loves the nestum, he's eating about 5 teaspoons of the dry powder mixed with 80ml milk.

Maryke- yay for being back at work, wish I could join you! Lol how are the boys' feet and the pain?

Lizelle- my goodness, I think just about every mom has almost dropped her newborn while doing night feeds and as for the colic meds spill it's only a wee accident, I have done many worse things in my time. Don't beat yourself up hun!

Yvette- I am so sorry to hear Ash is so sick, poor little thing, I agree rather give antibiotics if she needs it.

O.k now I've hit blank,

MiksMom- Yay on starting Wian on solids, I'm gonna start with the butternut and pumpkin once my kitchen is finished.

Chris- loving your profile pic on FB, can't wait to get on the PC so I can look at all your latest pics on the big screen.

Kitchen is coming along slowly, they're busy with the tiling, it's quite a big job with lots of cutting so it's taking a while but I don't mind if it means it looks perfect.

I am so looking forward to the baby expo on thursday even if only to see Jess and Claire, anyone else joining us?

Meags- well done on achieving your natural birth even if a bit stressful I am in awe of you! You are amazing! I'm glad Matt is home with you now and you can enjoy each other!

O.k I gotta go again, feeding babies and I need to swap the washing over, busy busy busy

Yay to Wian champ eater:) the sister at the baby wellness clinic asked us to wait a few more days incase its a growth spurt. But its gone over 4 days now. So cereal should begin tomorrow:) giving my nipples a break from the sudden 2 hourly feeds and me more sleep. From once a night waking to waking me 4 times last night and I have hubbys zikr (prayer) group over tonight - that's 17 men that I'm catering supper for, yawn...

How was all the other moomie weekends? Has the misplaced guilt subsided Lizelle?

Lizelle glad you enjoyed your day you know we all have blunders like that, my lo fell out the car in her chair hubby thought I srapped her in and I thought hubby strapped her in so we where packing the stuff in the boot at that time we where driving the porch cyanne so she fell quit a distance her nose was grazed and her fingers then you realy feel like an idiot, hubby also fell with her on new years day when she was 3 months old and at my mom's house the other day Aiden fell of the coffee table so nope don't feel like a bad mom

Miksmom they enjoy alone time with mum shame man I feel so sorry for her sometimes

maryke @ so glad the boys op went well!! I spend Saturday morning with Mik, left W at home with daddy. She was so happy the whole weekend... just shows you how much they crave that little bit of alone attention!

everyone else HALLO!!!

AFM had a rough week last week, baby w allergies got worse, then he got a viral infection on top of it... it was quite a few days! He has been MUCH better from Saturday and we started him on solids as per the specialist's advice (the pediatrician said to wait a bit longer) such mixed advice but we decided to go with the specialist cause she deals with allergic kids & babies all day. It went VERY well, he ate like a champ! So proud of him! First food was butternut, same as Mik. Mommy is SO proud of my little angel!
