Hi Ladies, how are you all doing?

Both babies still sick. Thashreya doing abit better. Shrevash was really sick yesterday, he didn't even want to drink milk. Seems to be a reaction to the flu meds, so had to stop it, just giving him the anti-biotics only.

Suhaila - I know what you mean about whirlwind. DH and I met in August 2008, got engaged October 2008, married March 2009. I fell pregnant the very next month, had our daughter on the 17th Nov 2009. Fell pregnant again in April 2010 and had our son on the 13th Dec 2010.

MommyN - Sorry to hear that you battling with sleep issues , hopefully Sarah will start to sleep thru again. I know what you going thru with the jealousy, Thashreya is very jealous of her brother. She wants to hurt him when she feels that we are not giving her enough attention.

Indeed it was Vix:) I suppose I found my transition into motherhood as a smooth one because of all the support I received. Muslim women generally go to their mothers for a confinement period of 40 days, where they are taken care off by their mums, sisters, gran and maternal aunts. Hubby usually spends time and has meals there so there is no cooking or housework to see to. Also hubbys have a massage lady come in and bath baby, and massage mum and baby the first 5 days out of hospital. I stayed at my mums for 3 weeks by then I had some idea of what was going on, was missing hubby etcm went home, hubby took leave for a week so only a month after aaqil was born was I ever alone to do everything. I think all mums need that it makes a world of difference the support u get.

Ok, I dont have much time, but wanted to say hi and I am following everyone through the notifications. just hardl ever have 2 hands free...

AFM, well, we ARE ok, but crazy. I feel like I am falling apart. I sometimes feel like this is not fun anymore. I know its probably normal, and just the exhaustion speaking, but I am so down. Seein the gynae again in Apr and will discuss it all with him (again).

Nathan is NOT sleeping during the day but pretty good at night (waking once for a feed and going back to sleep, most nights). But has about 2 power naps of 10 mins each during the day!

Sarah is NOT sleeping at night, last night she eventually fell asleep at 1am!!! I was exhausted and left her at one time and fell asleep even with her screaming! DH was pretty peeved. She has become so clingy, ma-vas, jealous and nauhty (if you can call it that). I am trying to spend time with her, but its difficult if Nathan wont nap!

Started rescue drops now, for all of us!

Oh dear... both kids awake again... I better run. Will try catch up later.

Its my DH and dad's birthday today!

How is everyone else?

So, I think its very safe to say the trio has skipped their midnight feed, their last feed will be at about 8/9 then the sleep through til 3/4 and then to 9between 6h30 and 7h30, so we're getting there, just now need to get the courage to leave them in the day, although they wake up on their own for their 3 hourly feeds anyway.
Athena has still been complaining with the reflux, she is now on losec, Alessandro has vomited 3 times since yesterday, thinking if he should be on it too. And then I am giving them Rescue remedy twice a day, am and pm, 5 drops only, it seems to settle them quite a bit, but today they have been sleeping quite a lot (uh-oh, lol, my hand slipped with an extra drop or 2).
Sunday we went with the triplets to my mom in law, well I dropped them all off with dh cos it was my sil's baby shower, tonight we all going out to my sister for the birthdays and sunday we going to a photoshoot my mil has booked, so we are going out, but have not yet braved public places, lol.

Anyway, have to start packing bags for later, will come back on tomorrow.

Suhaila- wow really a whilrwind, what a year 2010 was for you! I was gonna ask where you're from but I see you said the heat in Durbs so got that one. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying motherhood, the first few months for me with my 1st son was really not a very nice experience so I always like to hear abut mommies who enjoy it.

Maryke- our boys are so similar. Can't wait to meet yours!

I'm going to the baby expo at emperors palace next thursday with Jessica and ClaireC, anyone else planning on going?

I haven't been to an expo in years so thought it might be interesting to see what new products are on the market especially now I'm a mom of twins my views on things have changed a bit.

@Lizelle thank you for the introduction:) and happy birthday for tomorrow:D I'm 28 yrs old. Married in Feb 2010. Dh proposed a month after we met (in September) went on honeymoon and discovered I'd fallen pregnant 3 weeks later on the pill. Aaqil was born in December 2010. Its been a whirlwind:)

@Maryke 2 patients a week, I'm not really gona go back full time. I want more babies and I love being at home with Aaqil. The problem though is he refuses to take a bottle. While he does feed 3 hourly on a hot day (Durban heat and humidity) he does drink more. So trying to teach him to take water, expressed milk or even rooibos:)
