Hey Sunrise, glad you're still well.

Esmari, you're so right, the doctor's visits can keep you smiling for days. I was just thinking yesterady that I'm gonna miss the scans and the kicks from inside my tummy. But i think i'm now ready to meet my little one.

AFM: I think the nesting instinct has finally kicked in. I find myself waking up early to check my bags are ready. I pass by the shops every night, just to make sure i've got everything i need. Then i get home and go to baba's room and keep looking through everything we've got. I go through my lists so many times everyday. I even have to-do lists! This is so not like me!

I'm really getting excited!

Esmari - love the little foot I live for my gynae app each month - eventhough I can feel movement its always nice to see your little person!

Betty - good luck - hopefully something happens soon!

Strange how a ob visit can make you feel happy hey! I feel so happy and blessed. I could actually see my babies facial features! Its soooo sweet.

BettyF, I hope this is the start of labor for you! Maybe baba will come before tuesday. Fx!

Hi Ladies

Well the gynae visit was good - all still well with baby, amniotic fluid getting less, but still pools of 4cm. Gynae is still happy with my health and that of baby. Placenta is still in tact - black spots appearing apparently showing signs of a mature placenta, but no calcification. He is unable to get a measurement on baby - but estimates 3.8kg.
Baby has still not engaged and seems to be following the same route as Matthew did. He never engaged, my waters broke, no contractions so they induced and labour never progressed.

Anyhow gynae has booked me in for a c section on Tuesday, I will be just short of 42 weeks then and he would prefer to "manage" risks. I am happy with that decision.

This evening I started getting pains in my lower back - almost period type. I never said anything to DH as I had similar pains the other night. I went to bed at about 10pm and woke up at 12 from the pain. I started monitoring the back pains which were rather irregular at first but seem to be comming every 5/6 or so minutes for the last half an hour. The pain is not unbearable and I feel fine.
Think this could be the first stage of labour. ? I will continue to monitore the pains - hopefully I can hold out until a more appropriate hour so I don't need to wake Matthew up to take him to my Mom. I am hoping to just drop him off at school at 7am.

Solo - I don't think that D H Has even felt baby kick twice. Everytime he puts his hand on tummy she stops. I the beginning she would stop kicking immediately I put my hand there, but lately she continues to kick. The otherday I had the ipad resting on my tummy and she kicked so hard that it just about fell off.
Gosh your BF's mom sounds terrible? Why make comments like that on FB?

Esmari - glad that your appointment went well and baby is head down! great pics of your scan.

Karienh - teh ward tour sounds like it went well, and you are happy with the hospital. It is nice to be familiar with the hospital before you are admitted for labour.

Mandymel - thanks for the compliments on the nursery, hope to have baby in there soon

Sunrise - wow twins! Although I would like to experience a natural birth, I will be fine if I end up with a c - section.

Just a quick one. Doc is very happy with us both. Gave me a script for slowmag for cramps, and I am going on prog from 32w cause lb was prem.
Gerhardt already 1.2kg, and his feet are 6cm! Gonna be a tall boy!

AFM : I just came back from a vacation, really had a wonderful time with DH. All is well.

Betty - Please update : I'm due end of June since 'm having twins. I would love to have natural birth but unfortunately my gynae said I'm having a C-section.
