Karienh how did the maternity ward tour go?

Betty_F - holding thumbs for your VBAC and that today's appt goes well. I have resigned myself to a csec, I actually don't mind too much. Dr isn't keen on my going natural because of the baby's size, my age and my back problems.

I envy you still in bed Esmari! Let us know if he has turned. Yay on your improved financial situation. It makes a big difference.

MsDee I also wonder about what baby is going to be like. Is he going to be cuddly or push me away like my sister was like. Even to this day, she isn't a touchy, cuddly person. Whereas I'm very cuddly! My mom said they were worried that I wouldn't walk because everyone held and cuddled me - they couldn't put me down! Now this little son of mine moves away from my hand when I rub my tummy to bond with him and stops kicking. What does everyone else's babies do?

My app is only at 2h30. Still a looong way to go! But dh is working from here today, so he is prepping Jaco for school, taking him, and getting him if it rains and I cant walk to school. So Im still in bed. Drinking the coffee he brought me.

I am sooo tired. Got to bed at 10pm, and then this little man decided its time for gymnastics! So I couldn't fall asleep. The movements seems diffirent. Wonder if that means that he has turned. Previously it was more to my sides, now its more centered around my belly button and above. Guess I will have to ask the doc today. Want to get his lenght and weight too.

Thanks for all the compliments on the nursery. We had everything from when M was a baby, just added a bit of pink to it. DH's first question when I told him that we were expecting a girl was - "so does that mean we have to get new curtains".. Men, anyhow so I kept the green curtains lol. Anyhow the nursery is actually more for the mommy.

Aha - enjoy your last day at work! And rest well during your ML. Hope you manage to work out the phone and stay in contact. Enjoy your baby shower - hope you get loads of lovely goodies.

Solo- hope the stiffness goes away soon. FX baby shows his face for you next Tuesday! Did you decide that you are having a c section?

MsDee - I also wonder who baby will kook like. Can't really tell from the scans.. Soon soon we will know.

Karienh- how did the maternity were tour go? Are you happy with the hospital? I guess a hospital is a hospital. I'm only going to Milnerton Medi Clinic because that is where my gynae operates from. Otherwise I would have chosen a different hospital for sure.

Ertjie- wow after being induced at 7 am to only 2cm in the evening- were you hoping for a natural? How has your recovery from the c section been?

Ok well today is gynae day for me- it's all becoming tedious. Anyhow, managed to do my SMS list via baby city website yesterday, so everyone will get notified of the birth simultaneously.

And DH came home with a BB phone for me last night Yay - don't know how to use it yet, but at least I will be able to log in and update from hospital (if I ever get there ).

Hope you are all doing fine!
Congrats to those who also gave birth in the meantime!

Just a quick update-posting from phone

Nina was born on the 27th April via C-section.
Induction was done at 07:00 and at 18;00 I was only 2cm dilated.
Everything happened so fast and Nina was born at 18;38 weighing only 2.9kg.

She is so cute, can't stop looking at her!

Orefile Day 2

Ladies, I just have to come share this with you.

Dh just told me that all those small acc that add up to so much money has been paid! Jay! Plus out surance emailed they are paying us R1900 in outbonus beginning next month. Plus he has a couple more invoices that needs to be paid to him. Jayness. Finally some light at the end of the tunnel!

Think I am gonna celebrate by baking a cake this afternoon. Have to get the ingredients firs. Hehe.
