Hi all,

Just a quick pop-in to say hi!

Doing well this side. A friend had her little boy Monday morning and I went to visit the afternoon and that night I had a mini-meltdown (OK, wasn't so mini, but hey!!). Dear hubby handled it very well - for once didn't try to solve things, just held me and let me cry my heart out!

I think seeing that little baby just made everything so real and brought up all the emotions of joy and happiness, mixed in with a good dose of doubt, being scared out of my mind, what I still have to do before my LO arrives, the fact that both the grannies were there also didn't help my own emotional state

Anyway, feeling much better now - think I needed that emotional release from what has been a hectic and stressful few weeks.

CandiBez, you can also count me in for Sunday, M&B @ Canal Walk is perfect. Look forward to seeing everyone!!

Btw, think the karma-thing is like FB like-button? But happy to be corrected if I have it wrong

Hi Girls

I've been a bit busy with work, doing handover notes for all my major projects. I trust that everyone is doing well.

Candi, Bob, Naz, Laliek,TaNasha, Ankies, Tracey and everyone else that I might have forgotten - here is a big hello to you all.

Im going on maternity leave on the 15th as per doc's recommendation - I hope I wont get bored at home as I still feel fine. He says he doesnt want an unnecessary hesterectomy on his conscience, as the girls are getting heavier he wants me to rest. They now weigh 1.9 kg & 1.8 kg can you believe it ?? one has turned head down and the other one's head in underneath my rib-cage, making it difficult to breath at times. Yip uif is a mission but it has to be done and my edd is actually 18th August but c-section had been booked for 02 August (moved from 01 August).

Candi, sorry I cant help with the Karma thingie !

Hi everyone, sorry for being so quiet - too lazy to post....la la la la la...

BoB - So sorry you are sick Afraid I have no remedies to offer you - I don't even take stuff when I'm not preggies nevermind now, so really not the one to offer advice. Just keep warm and hydrated.
Had funny vision of myself in a superwoman costume (preggy tummy and all) flying through the air People would pay good money to see that...ha ha... Luckily I just bruised my one knee a bit and grazed the other one - tummy bruise free...phew!

Candi - Helloooo there! I luckily already had an appointment booked with my MW for 9am the following am. I wasn't cramping or bruised or bleeding and he was moving about, so after the initial shock I was feeling pretty Ok. But still good to hear his healthy heartbeat etc and get reassurance from her that he is ok I think my tummy got more squashed from her assessing how he is lying than it did when I fell Was really surprised at how far down his head is! He's a little engaged at the mo but apparently as he gets bigger he may move on up again.

And try not to stress about the nursery - after your shower you will know exactly what you still need and can shop to your hearts content (budget dependant of course...hee)

TaNasha & Candi - Love both your pics! Nothing more gorgeous than a preggy bump!

Sindarella - so nice to hear from you! And would be awesome if you joined us for a meet. I think we still on for this Sunday. Just need to decide on a time and place (in Canal Walk)... Howz 10:30ish? Any coffee shop suggestions?

Ankia - Congrats on not putting on much weight! You obviously doing something right - keep it up!

Oh BoB...

• cough remedy.... Expigen cough syrup... vicks everywhere....
• blocked nose remedy... if you have an empty nose sprayer thingy:
boil water.... about enough for a measure cup [20ml] a pinch of salt, and a pinch of bi-carb... mix up, let it cool down, and sqwert it up your nose. burns, but works like a bomb... i've had two sinus ops, the best remedy is actually sea water... that you got to inhale thru your nose... sounds terrible, feels terrible, but it works... [also helps with men that snor]
• headache... panado sadly... but... if you have a bean bag or hot water bottle... and a ice pack.... hot water bottle behind your neck, and ice pack on your forehead... if it's a migraine type headache, try putting the ice pack behind your neck, and the bean bag over your eyes... [that works for me]
• Oh and get some vit C.... take 1000mg a day... that and panado and BED and you should feel better.... I'm no doctor, but i've spent enough money at them to remember what worked and what didn't...

As for me: Besides freaking out... and forgetting i just did a thing about me LOL... FREAK! Ok, baby shower is happening the 9th... and lets hope and pray i get creams etc... cause i looked at Z's room and i just burst into tears... it's soooo boring and empty...
DH thinks cause there is a cot it's done...
What about a night light, and little work station to get her changed, a little radio to play her music, a carpet to break the brown that flows through the house, a mobile above her cot, teddies to hug... oh you can just imagine this pregnant hormonal casserole on the floor sobbing her eyes out cause no one can hear her sob... yip that's me...

I still wanted to decorate her room and make it pretty....
I haven't had the guts to take photos of it yet cause it's sooo plain and empty...

so ya, that's the room issue....

then last week thursday, went to my dear awesomeness freaking funny doc... he makes me laugh, best move i've ever made...

he's weighed me and impressed that the chocolates haven't gone to my hips... and on thursday Z was 1.6kgs... so he says, at birth, she'll be about 4.2kgs about.....
and then he says, he's just making a note in his diary... for a possible c-sec... for the 11th Aug! 11th Aug..... freak!!!!!!!
