Morning ladies

Wow I had lots of catching up to do with reading all the posts.

TaNasha - Great job on the nursery! It looks stunning - and wow so many clothes to choose from! I find that girls are so easy to buy for and everything is so pretty! Esme is also at a good weight, she's going to be a big girl:)
Re what to wear when birthing - I would suggest you wear the hospital gown. I wore it with both of my previous deliveries and it just made everything much simpler. The hospital can even give you 2 so that you can tie one like a gown so that your behind is not exposed when walking around lol.
I would even sleep in it for the first night as you still bleed alot and it just makes sense to rather dirty the hosp clothing instead of your own.

BoB- Lucky lady to be at home, esp in this weather we are having! Glad your LB is still safe and sound :)

Hapi - I agree with the other ladies that you should not wait and rather shop for those things you will need. Your due date is so near now

Tracy - nice profile pic :) and enjoy your 4D scan n monday!

Skai/CandiBez - I'm not quite sure re my babyshower, but I think it will be on either 9th or 16th July at this stage. I would have preferred it later in mid-Aug but we are starting Ramadaan so the entire month of Aug is out of the question. as for a M&G, next weekend sounds good to me. what about a sun morning brunch? I think canal walk should be quite central for all living in northern or southern suburbs
CandiBez - shame I hope you feel better soon. When is DH coming back?

Laliek - when are you going on maternity leave?

AFM - I am still at work and will be working till mid-Aug hopefully. My company gives me 4 months ML- with 50% salary. It's going to be tough as we have just bought a house - but I'm sure things will work out as it should be :)
I haven't done any shopping yet - can you believe it? Luckily I have the big things like pram, crib, bath, car seat etc that's left from my LG. but i need to get new linen and a mattress and also a sleep wedge and pillow for the cot. and ofcourse the usual nappies and wet wipes. I think I saw some specials at baby boom. When we move our room is smaller than what we have no so the cot cannot fit into our room which means I now have to make a nursery from one of the bedrooms. i am quite excited to do that. I am beginning to worry now though because we are waiting on the transfer of the house to go through and the house still needs some work to be done before we can move in. That's part of the reason why I haven't shopped because I'd rather pack and move with less! LOL

to all the other ladies I missed - have a great day xx

Good Morning

Candi it is "nice" to see you here again. I see that you are editing and keeping busy, I hope the back ache and migraine goes away very fast

TaNasha, I am sure you will love you LG not matter - I can see on the scan pics on FB that she is so pretty, can not wait to see photos of her

hapi, I am glad you have don some cyber window shopping, good luck with all the things

TaNasha, it has been hectic the last few days with William, he does not leave me alone, when I put him to bed, he tells me I must not tata, so I think he is going through a difficult seperation stage, even dropping him at school has been a mission, he does not want to let go of me.
So I think the sleep over has done a little bit of damage, he thinks that I will go away and not come back, this makes my heart very sore, but we have to get him used to staying with other people.
He is going to visit his friend on Saturday without us, only going to be gone for about 2 hours, I hope that it does not set him back even more.

I am doing great, A is much more busier today that any other day, it is nice that I do not have to prompt her to move.

have a great day

Hi Girls

Thank you all for the practical advice. I was cyber window shopping yesterday and at least I know where to get what where :cheer: We will also be going to the baba Indaba this weekend so hopefully we will get nice deals there as well. I started clearing the cupboard in the girls room yesterday so im thoroughly chuffed. I just get so upset with DH as he uses the girls room as a storeroom so annoying as we have a wendy-house that he is so posessive over.

Laliek, C is 2.5 kg already? wow - does doc think you will make it to the 28th ? I cant believe that he will be here in 4 weeks time.

Candi, hope you are feeling better today (((hugs)))

TaNasha, Ankies, Tracey, BoB, Skai - Hellooooo

Skai (how do you do the wave? )

Hi Ladies....

Gosh, just to think today is the longest night and it's downhill to summer... :)

TaNasha - Wow, your nursery looks stunning. Lovely lovely lovely!

Laliek - Super glad C is doing fine and soo healthy :) and so are you!

Skai - good idea with the first aid kit... that's a big necessity that i must still get...

Tracey - love your profile pic :) Yeah, posts pics from peek-a-babe on monday :)

BoB - How you doing?

Ankia - How's those UIF forms  I need to go back to school to do all that stuff.... [urgh]

CT Mom's - When is who's baby showers? I know the weekend of the 9th & 10th is out, cause i think it's Skai Baby shower the 10th, mine's happening the 9th. Next week sat i'm stuck, i might have a maternity shoot happening? how's everyone's sunday the 3rd? I'll phone around and see if there is a nice coffee shop, or does anyone have any recommendations?

AFM - besides sobbing my heart out today [just one of those days], been to the chiro twice this week already, back ache and migraine are seriously being to work on my ______ [ya] [nerves] ..... so my doc is doing her magic. Missing my man like crazy. going to doc tomorrow with my SIL, and then on friday going to see zoey a bit more clearly at Peek-a-babe :)

Karate has been put on pause for the mean time, every class i go to, i started bleeding... not cool  and the pain the following day was not nice either...

anywho.

Ok, must go, back is killing me... plus need to try and sleep before 2am at least :)

xx hugs to all!!!!! xxx

Laliek wow what a big boy! Must mean he is very happy in mommy´s tummy!

Skai well done with the 1st aid kit. I must check whether we have one. we just have a cabinet with plasters and all sorts of other things, so i think a kit might be a good idea!

Hapi maybe your babyshower will be this weekend? I agree with everyone else. People usually give smaller things at babyshowers, i got loads of bibs, socks, nappies, toys ect. I would start buying the bigger things and then you can take it from there. And maybe just buy a very few of the small things?
And Esme's cleft will be fixed when she is about 5 or 6 months old. It has taken alot to get used to having a baby that has something "wrong'with her, but I am sure me and DH will melt when we see her for the 1st time. And off course you maye ask as many questions as you like :)

Ankia I cant imagine what it must be like being pregnant while you still have a little one to care for! But I am sure he is trying to demand your full attention while he still can. Is he looking forward to having a little sister?

I am making pizza from scratch for dinner tonight, its in the oven and smelling delicious, yum!

Hi there ladies

Tanasha - your nursery looks stunning! Really lovely and loovvvee all the little clothes :cheer:

Ankia - shame man maybe William realises that soon his mommy's attention will be divided so he's cashing in on all your one on one time as much as he can

Skai - that is a very good idea, I also need to get a first aid kit!

BoB - glad your still taking it easy and almost at the 32w mark whoohoo! Keep doing what your doing 'cause it's working :P

Tracy - enjoy you 4D scan on Monday, it really is special!

Hapi - I actually bought everything myself before babyshower. We bought clothes and all the bigger things (breast pump, steriliser, monitor, pram, cot, camp cot etc). When we did our registery at Baby City we actually put in extra things and the smaller things, so it was things that was a real nice bonus if we got them but neccesities. I just felt more comfortable to have everything ready already and then whatever I received at the baby shower was a real nice blessing and bonus!! My DH already started buying nappies since we found out we're pregant so we're covered in that dept as well. I really have everything I need now and I'm so glad I did it earlier rather than later as I don't have energy anymore to do it. So my advise will be rather buy the necessities if you don't have it already then whatever you get at the babyshower is a real bonus!! And remember most of the time you can exchange if you receive two of one ;)

AFM: Doing good and at home now. Dr was running behind a bit so we waited for over an hour today but it was worth it. Luckily I didn't pick up any weight since last time but Cameron picked up alot of weight again lol. He now weighs 2.5kg already and he's tall. Dr said to me it's no wonder I've been complaining and taking strain. But at least all is well and I'm happy he's healthy. I just have to take it easy and that's that!
