Hey everyone,
Hope you're all keeping well.
Hapi: In my experience of attending baby showers, I think most people tend to buy either clothes, bibs, toys or lotions, potions and nappies, the kind of things that you can never have enough of. So what I've been doing is buying the major things like pram, camping cot, car seat, and then only a few clothing items and consumables. But I really think it shouldn't be a problem for you to buy what you need, as I'm sure your gifts will be items that you can never have enough of

Maybe also look into doing a gift registry, I've read the following on Baby Boom's website "
If you have or are given a baby shower, and you receive duplicates of any of your gifts, no matter where they were purchased we will gladly exchange these items at our price on the condition that they are stocked at Baby Boom stores." and I'm sure other stores will do the same for you.
CandiBez: I had a pain in my butt for a week, it was terribly painful when I walked but fine if I was sitting, it's called sciatic nerve pain and is common in pregnancy, because your expanding uterus puts pressure on the nerve (which runs from your back all the way down your leg), there are stretches that you can do (you can google it), but mine went away on it's own, thankfully.
Regarding strollers and things, my husband and I were also interested in the Graco Mirage Travel System (which we've seen priced at R2500), but we ended up getting the Chelino Matrix Travel System, since it was R1500 (at Toys R Us) and to me it looked just as good quality as the Graco systems, and we're on a tight budget, so that was the better option for us
Re the Cape Town meet, Canal Walk will be fine for me, and evenings and weekends are best, since I'm still working.
I have a 3D/4D scan on Monday at Peek-a-Babe !!!!!
Can't wait!!!!
Hope everyone has a good day
