Ooooh ya that toweling socks are really horrible!

Another tip for winter babies - you can use baby socks over their hands to keep their hands warm.

And don't buy those cute bulky little newborn jackets with lining and hoods and the works. Your baby will be very uncomfortable.

That's a great tip:

A cover for the car seat is nice as the buckles get hot in summer so even if you use a towel just remember to cover the seat in the sun.

Two kids, third degrees burns in December and this never occurred to me.

Clearly I will be getting one when the temperature heats up - where does one get these clever things?

Woolies sell the babysense slings, but we have the carrier so no breastfeeding. I have the ruhbarb and custard sling but he hated it. We use it now on the hip though and it is great.

For the ladies wondering about good maternity bras, try www.bravissimo.com. I'm an E cup and I struggle to find normal bras that support me properly. I haven't tried the maternity bras from Bravissimo but the few things I have ordered from them, I love. They have from cup D to K. It's a bit pricey because you convert from pounds and have to pay for postage but I think it's worth every cent. And if you buy the sale items it's a lot cheaper.

Julz, the woolies one, is it a sling or a pouch? I found it impossible to b/feed while he was in the pouch so that's why I want to get a propper sling this time.

I didn't until dylan yelped from pain. :(

Tienka the woolies sling also was a life saver. I used to do housework with him attached to me.
