Euphre - we all land up picking up our kids now and then, but its really not recommended and you have to try to reduce it.. it will be good for you to figure out new ways as when the new one arrives you wont be able to pick up both anyway! I tell my son that my tummy is sore, but it depends on how old your other child is!

MY NEWS : ALL IS 100% fine found out yesterday on my birthday after almost a full month wait!! it was AGONISING!!! but genetically, there is no downs so it is definate They also checked a range of other deseases and visual signs of any abnormalities and all was great.. my LITTLE GIRL is all good!

next appointment is next wednesday 24th August, looking forward to have a happy appointment , I will be 21 weeks havent seen my gynae since 12week scan and then did the featal assessment and amnio at 16 weeks!

Euphre7, Karatemum gave good advice about the crouching down to your little one. He must getting used to you not picking him up, but that said, it's HARD not to pick them up! Good luck. When are you going for a scan again?

Congrats Karatemum, that is good news for this weekend, I am so glad you are having a girl, I am hoping for a girl and it seems like, everywhere I turn, everyone I know, either has had a baby girl or is having a girl so, I only hope I will be that luck.

Thanks for the advice, I can't imagine not picking my little one up. I think for me, maybe because I have not shown as yet, I can get away with it but, my little one is heavy nowadays neh!!

Ok assessment went very well - all is good with the growth and everything which is great, so glad about that!
Also confirmed we are having a girl!!
Yeah, so happy we can finally do a little shopping or get things as we see them happy days.
Can't wait to meet the little one now!

Euphre - if your dr said no then rather don't - I still pick up mine for now but only for a very short time then hand over to hubby or ask him to walk and he can hold my hand. That usually works. If he s crying or needs me cos he is scared or something then I usually just crouch down and hold him on my lap rather than hold him as I know he'll want me for longer then.

Hallo everyone, been quiet,, for me, it's just work. Not one of the easiest pregnancies I have had either. Half the time, I can't turn when I am in bed and, feel tired and, I am almost feeling those pains I felt after giving birth, you know, pubic bone being sore, not able to pick up one of my legs, let's not forget my back being sore.

I don't know, cause I have a little one as well, he still wants to be picked up and, I feel so sorry if I can't, so, I am constantly debating with the health implications on that one, should I or should I not pick him up? I know it's not good as the doc said so, but I can't help it!!

Any advice ladies???
