I am so nervous about out appointment on Thursday.

I am looking for a midwife or doctor willing to give me a second opinion, but no one seems willing to assist this late in the game....

@JLK, sure you are completely infatuated with your little man, hoping your delivery went well.

I have a question (sorry for the graphic nature). Have any of you ladies lost your mucus plug? If so, what does it look like? And how much is it? Pretty sure I have not, but just thought I would ask.

@CarienM - Thanks so much for the tips. I started with the raspberry leaf tea & tablets at 36 weeks, also midwife suggested we start with the primrose oil from 38 weeks... but I must say I'm tired of being pregnant as much as I love growing this little human inside me, I really want to meet him now and hold him

@JLK - That is such a great idea to give your daughter a "Big Sister" gift pack - I think it'll definitely make the transition easier for her. All the best for the c-section - Please post pics as soon as you get a chance.

@BabyT - holding thumbs that baby engages soon - so that you don't unnecessarily have to go for a c-section

I have been thinking long and hard about the big brother gift thing too, really not sure how we are going to handle that one... but I will get to it.

My husband is currently in AU and will be there till the weekend so I am a single parent till then. Bit tough but I will get through it. My son is super clingy right now, I think he thinks I am going to leave as well, and trying to explain to a toddler that his daddy is coming back but not being able to explain that he will not be back just now is challenging. Anyway, hoping everyone else had a great weekend, good luck for the week for the rest of the ladies

@BabyT, still crossing my fingers that your little girl engages and you can deliver as you wish. Lots can happen between now and thursday!

As for me, I am doing okay, I am on antibiotics - I have the worst sinus infection and feel absolutely horrible baby has still not engaged and no sign that she is on her way, so if by Thursday and she hasnt arrived yet we are going for a second opinion as we really dont want to have a c section if its not really necessary....

How are you now and have you started settling in at home? No issues with breastfeeding etc?

How is everyone else doing? I can't believe tomorow is the 1st of February! We've finally reached our long awaited birth month!

I've been having so much trouble sleeping lately as I seem to be uncomfortable all the time now. And no matter at what time I fall asleep or how many times I'm up at night I always wake up at 05:30!

Well, I cannot wait for tomorrow to get here already! My daughter will be staying at my parents tonight and go to school tomorrow then DH will collect her in time for the 15:00 visiting hour to meet her brother. We've asked the rest of the family to give us this time alone so we can bond as a family. Please pray that all goes well and that we welcome our healthy baby boy safely tomorrow

I've attached a pick of the big sister gift we'll be giving our daugter - we've also given her a little camera to take pics of her baby brother.
