Well done one giving birth the way you planned and she is sooooo tiny....

I had another too busy/stressful start to the week, and...

Little Mia joined us yesterday 27.1.16 @ 19:44, weighing 2.95kg

My water broke Tuesday evening and contractions started an hour later. After 12 hours I was still only at about 2cm, so doc opted for a drip to help with the contractions - at which point I asked for my epidural as I was convinced I would end up having to have a cesar anyway. The drip worked well and 8.5hrs later Mia was born via assisted birth. The cord was wrapped twice around her neck and she was posterior, so I ended up tearing quite badly but my doc and the nursing staff were amazing throughout

So today has not been a good day I couldnt sleep a wink last night, my pelvis area was just hurting and I had the worst braxton hick! My back was sore and I was almost in tears.... I knew it wasn't actual contractions, but hubby just wanted us to go to the hospital.

I was very calm even though the pain was quite back, but I took a duvet day and feel 100% better, so I think it might have just been all the hecticness of work over the last month added together and my body telling me to calm the heck down.

So I have finally decided that my maternity leave should start at the end of next week - can simply not carry on as normal any longer.

On a positive note, the work had a surprise baby shower for me yesterday and everything I got was for a little girl that is a bit older,which is absolutely amazing cause I have enough 0 - 6 months stuff that I received at my first baby shower

Now the waiting game really starts....

@ STK, its not so much the weight that concerns him, but more the fact that baby's head measures between 38 an 39 weeks and she was only 36 weeks....

But he said at the end of the day he will make his recommendation but the final decision lies with me - no pressure

My baba's head is not yet engaged though and she is still very high, like in if she is gonna kick my now she will probably break my nose Breathing is becoming a little bit of a obstacle for me, so I really hope she engages very soon!

@BumbleBee - the nursery is looking great, I love the owl on the shelve and the clock

We went for our 36Week checkup on Saturday and baby is weighing in at 3kg, he is doing well, and is already engaged and in a great position for birth...now we just wait for him to pick his birth date

@BabyT - Its amazing how doctors tell you different things...with our baby already weighing 3kg - the doc said its a good weight and I can definitely go for a normal birth and that she doesn't foresee any complications lol. Yet your doc says the weight might be problematic.
