Hi there ladies

Hope all of you are well and that little babas are doing well!

Cannot believe that the time is here already and soon we will all be holding our little bundles. Lisa - congrats on the birth of baba! So happy all went well.

So Friday is my last day, then my maternity leave starts, cannot wait. I am with all of you on the crying for no reason thing, I've been crying for every small thing lately! I am so tired because I don't sleep properly at night either. Mother nature is very cruel, at the time we are supposed to be sleeping like little babies we are actually awake!

Had our 36 week scan last week, baby weighed 2.9kg. So our next scan is on 18th and then my C-section is booked for 21 April still. I have been having ALOT of Braxton hicks. Anyone else also experiencing this?

Good morning Ladies

I had my 37week appointment with my midwife on Friday, all is well with baba and she weighed in at 3.1kgs. Midwife said she's in the perfect position now for birth so I'm hoping she stats that way until she decides to come. I also got a different EDD from my midwife, she says 23 April and my Dr had said 20th April so I guess we'll see.

I just got back from doing a maternity shoot with the Hubstar, can't wait to see the photos.

I'm still sleeping quite well thankfully, but the toilet visits, geeze!

All the best with the ladies who are struggling at work, just hang in there, take it one day at a time.

Good morning ladies!

Today we are 35 weeks and 2 days. And i feel tired today. I'm starting to appreciate my HR's strict 4 weeks before EDD policy. Tho i squeezed in an extra week of work so my last day is next Friday. sigh. I just can't do this working thing now. like right now, i feel almost drunk tired. like i could sleep- if i close my eyes i'll be out in 15seconds. though i have no reason to as i slept more than enough hours and pretty well.

Nausea has popped in again. Since late yday afternoon. didn't even eat supper. Still got pelvic/groin discomfort so am on limited hip reliant movement. At PreggiBellies, they advised me to use my core to lip myself out of car and bed etc more and it has helped. Had midwife checkup on Sat and baby hasn't engaged yet but she explained how he's contributing to my discomfort with the pelvic area skeleton.

Been listening to my hypnobirthing affirmations and rainbow relaxation cd. not as regularly as i should but it's something. However, I pass in and out of consciousness (or fall asleep?) during the rainbow relaxation. So i can barely recall all the colours they go through. LOL. I wonder if this is a good thing or I'm failing at it. hehehe

@ Sonsbaby, I feel your pain regarding the hips. hopefully the dr can suggest something? Perhaps seeing a physio-even if its relief for a day or 2? One good nights rest makes a big difference.

Im also eager for maternity leave but I have sooo much to do. Keep taking my laptop home, but dont even bother doing anything. i guess we can only do, as much as we can do.
@Sonsbaby, can you work from home?

Its not the sperm that induces the sex, rather the feel good hormones. BTW how freaking difficult is it to have sex!! :tmi:
Caster oil! Even just the sound of it, makes me gag!

@Jay-Bee, our girls should be around the same weight too!! my last app (at the end of 33 weeks), she was about 2kgs, the app at 30/31 weeks she was 1.8kg.
Lol, I still have to practice the hypnobirthing stuff. Well its mainly the rainbow relaxation, I get a bit lazy with the affirmations and visualisations, etc. Had to re-read the books, and went to see Kim for a refresher.
I am currently loving the polar bear pose!!

@ninies, take the time to have some rest., dont let them take advantage of you.

Hubby also told me we should think about putting the cot together! I said lets wait till 35 weeks, and then I realised thats next week!! eeek! But we really procrastinate alot, so who knows when it will get done!
The pram actually was never packed away!! it can be used up to about 4 yrs, and my daughter is such a lazy bum anyway!

Im feeling slow!

Morning ladies,

Well my maternity leave started on 31 March 2016. But I came to the office on Friday and today and will still do some work this week.

I was at the doctor on Friday, everything is still ok and we are still scheduled for our c-section on the 12th at 10h00. I will be seeing my doctor again on Thursday - for the last check up.

Yesterday, hubby got the pram and cott from the garage and we washed everything. Cant believe that it is still in such good condition. Looks almost brand new. So our house is starting to look alot more like we are expecting a little one soon.

How is everyone else doing and feeling today?

@ Maj, yes I have looked into the Rasberry Leaf Tea but not so sold on it as hate flavoured type of tea and might consider the capsule form. I was also thinking of working up until 38 weeks but it seems like 36/37 weeks will be better as getting so tired and drained lately. My scan was also on Wed but they re scheduled to Thursday morning, so excited. How much do you think baby weights? I will be 34w4d and thinking she will be 2.5kg as was 1.8kg three weeks ago so will see :)
Giving him my birth plan then but holding thumbs that my coccyx is fine and that scan will only be at 37w
The medications are going well and getting into the squatting exercises. Are you practicing the HypnoBirthing techniques as well or do you have everything waxed.
Spinach and red meat hmm my favorite. Our delivery dates are so close together :)

@ Sons, sounds like you have had a rough weekend and I hear you with the bladder saga :( You are going to enjoy the maternity leave and hope that you can get some rest. Thanks I have also read that sex and certain other things induce labour naturally and I think I will do the walking, and even try the Aubergine recipe that I have read about
