@licious - oh yes the heartburn ouch I had to "upgrade" the bottle of gavascon I buy now to the HUGE one!! Everything seems to give me heartburn nowdays...
LOL if I had to try meditate before I get out of bed I would never get out of bed as I'd fall asleep everytime!! I tried the hypnobirth meditation session again yesterday and halfway fell asleep   Its not the first time it happened!! Soooo I might be fast asleep when the baby gets born :silly:
I have read about the losing of mucus plug but nothing about it growing back? I would not even know what to look out for if it happened!!  Need to google this NOW :P

@Maj - The mommy to be massage sounds heavenly! I just used a steam bath to try and open my sinuses and then I also drank allot of hot tea to try and ease the pain. I had a small panic moment as my chest started closing up on me (I have a seasonal asthma that tends to return this time of the year!) But lucky the feeling did not last too long and the steam bath helped for that too!

As long and as wonderful as the long weekend was, i am also struggling to be here!!
I had dream that I asked my boss if I could work from home, and they agreed! I would actually get so much more done at home as there aren't as many interruptions! Well, once school starts there wont be too many.

This damn chair is so uncomfortable!!

I am planning 1 of those "mommy to be massages" when I go on maternity leave, but its sooooo long away!

@sonsbaby, I am also still suffering with sinuses! do you use a salex rinse, it provides some relief!

@licious, Yup i have heard the same about the mucus plug-that it can grow back! can you remember what happened with your daughter?

I had my app with the dr yesterday. He said everything looks good with baby. She is about 2kgs so we looking at a 3.5kg baby again if I go to 40 weeks.
I asked about the weird feeling, he said he is t too concerned, only if I also having fainting, bleeding, etc with it- that's worrying.
I asked my dr about positions while in labour and birth. He says he couldn't care if I were swinging off the chandeliers if everything is going well. If there are issues, or if he needs to intervene than we will need to adjust!

I had the sweetest dream about the baby last night! She was a content little 1-hope she is like that once she is here!

The hand, it isn't too bad, but I'll get a wrist guard. It does bother me on and off normally so it's prob worth while.
Maybe go see a Chiro if it's bothering u, they can help even if it's a nerve in the wrist!

I had a winter baby the last time, but I preferred a vest babygrows and one of those "bear" suites instead of blankets if we were in the house. I can't remember if I used socks....

Likewise with ninnies, I had a 3.5kg baby-on the larger side, and while I was pregs I figured I wouldn't need newborn and bought 0-3 or 1-3months babygrows and vests. In the week before she was born, something made me go out and buy a few newborn vests and babygrows, and it was a good thing! I must have had about the same amount that monies has suggested. The 0-3/1-3 were a little big, and I had to roll up sleeves, etc. my daughter had reflux and these massive poos so we ended up going through a lot of clothes daily so I did not feel it a waste at all (everything was washed daily). The newborn stuff, I didnt buy anything fancy or expensive: pick and pay, ackermans and the basic woolworths ones. I got away with the bear suites and jersey or jackets in the bigger size.

If anyone is using pampers premium care, baby city has a 2 pack and a free wipes on special this weekend. Works out to about R2.20 a nappy (excluding the cost of the wipes). Everywhere else is at least R2.70 on special.

Have a fantastic, relaxing weekend!

@Maj - yes that is the list just for the hospital that I have to pack. They do supply a maternity bag aswell that contains all the other stuff we will need (shampoo, wipes, nipple cream, maternity pads etc).

With my son I did not really do the sock thing, but then again he was born in November. This time it will be a winter baby and my MIL (who had two winter babies) says that you must put the socks on underneath the babygrows. I also packed mainly babygrows for the hospital.

My hand is still uncomfortable and still have numbness in my fingertips. It is mainly my right hand. The doctor is not too worried - he says it could either be a nerve in my neck or wrist that is pinching. It is just weird.

Good luck with your wrist. Why not try and get yourself a wrist support band from Dischem that will add support to your wrist? Even if you just use it while sleeping?

I was very emotional yesterday aswell and just wanted to sit in a corner and cry - for no reason! So it looks like the hormones are really playing with everyone.

I think you should mention the weird feeling you have to your doctor just so that you feel better. Weren't you having an app today?

@Sonsbaby - about the newborn clothes. With my son I followed everyone's advise and only got 0-3 months clothes....because they grow so quickly. He was 3.4kg when he was born - that aint the smallest of babies. And I remember how I struggled and got so frustrated with the 0-3 months clothes that was way too big. My mom then went to the shops and got me a few new born stuff that I could use. And if I remember correctly I used it for about a month. This time around, I made sure I buy some new born clothes. I think I have about 6 babygrows, a few fleece jackets, some socks, 6 vests, and some hats. I tried to have enough for atleast 3 days (dressing him twice a day). I will wash every 2nd or 3rd day.
So I think newborn clothes are necessary. Yes you dont use it too long, but afterwards you can always give it to someone's little girl for doll clothes or something. My son has a doggy that he so badly wants to dress - so maybe I will give him a vest or two after baby has grown out of it.
