Good morning Ladies!

Gosh I struggled to get to work today! I just wanted to stay at home! My hips are so sore and getting up from any chair is now a mission!! I struggled to sleep the whole weekend, if it wasn't the bladder that filled up every half hour it seemed, it was trying to turn to the other side to try and get more comfy! My next appointment with gynea is this Friday cant wait so we can see how our little boy is progressing and if our due date is definitely changing or not.

My maternity leave starts next week Friday, kinda freaking out about that cause there is so much I still need to do at work to hand over but on the other side I cant wait!!

@Jaybee - there is a few natural inductions you could try, I read up on a few :P  Apparently on top of a few lists is sex   apparently sperm could help start the labour. Or like Maj said the raspberry leaf tea. Or you could try one of those old wives tales remedies? :silly: Think the one the old people talk about is drinking caster oil to bring on labour

Hope everyone's Monday will be a quiet one!

@JayB, that is alot of birthdays!! Maybe You should start drinking the raspberry leaf tea after your 36 week check-up. I think the hypnobirthing books might also have a couple of natural induction suggestions!

Im working until the end of April    I know realise I did some serious miscalculations, and should have stopped at 36 weeks rather! I just did not want to stop at 34 weeks though (as I did with my 1st).
I think alot of the guys are kinda hoping that I carry on working even after that!!
I am resigning so I am handing in my computer, so no emails, or access to the server etc!

There are advantages and disadvantages to working at home. Dont take on too much, or stretch yourself too thin early on.
I thought I would suggest a work from home for 2 days a week in the last month, but I was home yesterday as my nanny went to the dr, I must have done 2 hours work max with my daughter around! but by the evening I was too tired to even look at the computer! I did work from home when i returned from maternity leave the last time, and it was alot easier with a baby than with a 4yr old!

are you doing your meditations? the more you fear, the more pain you feel. Your body is designed for this!! and you will be able to do it! keep reminding yourself of this, and you will believe it! You wont need the pain relief!!

my next scan is next wed. When is yours?
At my last scan, they tested my iron, and its still too low. So he changed the iron supplement, and i am on a diet of spinach and red meat! :woohoo:

@ Sons, my hubby's one sister has 5 kids and the other sister has 4 and out of that brood 4 of the kiddies are around my baby's due date and four family members after. The problem is that the love to celebrate and the birthdays are a big thing so holding my fingers and toes crossed she comes at the end of April at 38 weeks :). Maybe some natural induction is in order :woohoo: Enjoy your afternoon nap!

@ Maj, till when are you still working? I can only imaging how stressful it is trying to finish everything up in the next week if nobody is helping it happen. I work from home which is such a blessing and looking to work right up to the birth. Then taking two weeks off after the birth and then on standby after that to read emails etc. Luckily my work is all calls and emails so can stay in my Pj's.

I am slowly starting to get nervous about the birth as I know what to expect and how things progress but am slightly worried that I can't copy without pain relief. What are your opinions on gas?

Aah no Sonsbaby! Lack of sleep for so long is frustrating! Hubby aint giving me enough space on the bed, and everytime i turn sides, I wake up so i can push him over (he of course sleeps like the dead!)
maybe play the hypnobirthing meditation if you feel you are awake for too long! If it dsnt make you sleep, it will help to relax you!

I just start taking off with hubby instead of crying about anything he says.
The car crying thing-sometimes I wonder what I look like to people in the other cars! But I dont even look at myself in the mirror cos Ill just cry some more!!

We also finish early on a Friday, but I usually end up only leaving at 4.... :S

Good morning Ladies!!

So I was awake this morning from 2:30 till 3:30?? I just could not get back to sleep! I manage to fall asleep between 3:30 and 4 so this morning I am feeling it! :S Soooo tired!

@Maj - I am so glad I am not the only one that does the car cry LOL! I think subconsciously our bodies are telling us we don't want to go to work anymore!! :silly: :P At home anything sets off the tears! A movie, a advert, something hubby says (and that can be anything and I know he is joking around but even knowing that the tears start!! urgh!)
I am also worried that I might be staying at work too long but I so want two extra weeks with the baby so I will try and stick it out! Will hear what the gynea says next Friday as the last time she mentioned that he might come earlier!

@Jay-bee - I totally understand about the birthday's thing! when we were trying to get pregnant I was just hoping it wont be a November to January baby as there is loads of family and friends bdays in that time! The only bday that is close now is hubby's on 5 May!

I cannot wait to go home lucky we knock off at 1:30 today jippie!! Think a afternoon nap is in order!

At Sons and Jay-Bee, I am not a crying person, and its quite ridiculous how often I am close to tears. I work about 30 mins drive from home, and the other day I must have cried for at least half of the drive! why-I still havent quite figured out. And its making me more irritable!
Dont even get me started on work! I just want to tell everyone to go jump out of the window and not bother me!

Im beginning to worry that I left staying at work till too late. I am 34 weeks, what if the baby comes at 38 weeks?  Apparently 2nd babies come a bit earlier!!
Even one of my managers said I must try and get everything off my plate by 35 weeks. Except they aint giving me someone who can take on all the work, so who do I give it to?!!

JayB, everyone will definitely make a fuss for her whether she is born in April or May (even on the same date as someone else). It depends on how the parents celebrate it!
Only once she is in her 20's I reckon the bday will get forgotten, and I think that happens even if you are the only person born in that month!!
