Hi Ladies,
We did our 6 week vaccination at the storks nest at Netcare (Blaauwberg). Paid R75 fee and they had government stock, except for 1 of the drops which she said i could get done at 10 weeks.
i think most of the hospitals do receive government stock, its just a matter of whether they have any when you get there. Apparently Dischem and Clicks also receive government stock, but again depends if their supply is finished when you get there or not!
Also if you are following the private schedule and not the government schedule, then you would need to pay for the additional meds.
the vaccinations went ok, she cried soo much (red in the face, and sounded like she wasnt breathing!) last night, so i eventually resorted to some panado.
@lolabunny, the bigger daughter just wants to kiss her sister, and that disturbs the baby as much as poking would, especially when her hair is open!!
but i guess 2nd kids soon become immune to their elder siblings!
@ninies, hows the boys? am not looking forward to the holidays! I agree, the age gap is good. My elder daughter turned 4 last week. I can only imagine what its like with a newborn and an 18month baby! or even worse a newborn and a 1yr old!
@Jay-Bee, hows Rosalie? getting better with the feeding? has the rocking gotten a bit less? I think mine has with Naseeha, but it may also be that I am just getting more used to it!
i also had my 6 week check-up at the gynea! and all is good, and then had the contraception talk! Whats everyone doing for contraception? Am so worried I am going to forget to take the pill!!
is anyone having car seat issues? Naseeha starts complaining and grumbling as soon as i put her in, and sits for a max of 10 mins before the screaming starts! and thats when the car is moving!
Oh, Naseeha weighs 5.6kgs @ 6 weeks!
