Congrats @Monei and any other mommies I missed! Sorry, I have not been online or checking since wednesday!

Wednesday morning 18 May, at about 7:30 am - right after we dropped our daughter at playschool my waters broke! We came home, because it was just a little trickle at first and I wasn't sure what it meant really - I thought maybe I just peed but more and more kept coming so I phoned the maternity ward and they told me to come in ASAP.
Hubby grabbed my bag and drove right to hospital where I was sent to the delivery room and strapped up to the monitor. About 8:30 my gyni came by on her ward rounds and said baby should be born around 7:30 pm and offered to do an induction sometime during the day, which was perfect with me. At around 9 am or so contractions finally started - they were 7 mins apart for about 30 mins then moved to 5 mins apart. At this time I was offered Pithidrine for the pain, which I decided to take, since nobody was saying epidural was up for grabs yet....the sister said it takes about 15-30 min to kick in, but contractions were starting to last a bit longer.
About 10 mins later contractions became 3 mins apart and they had to find my gyni - who was at consultations. When the Pithidrine eventually kicked in I was 7 cm dilated, deliriously high and still feeling the pain. That's when things went bad - i was no longer making any progress and another gyni was called for a second opinion, but they agreed that baby was now in distress and no matter how hard I tried, birth was stalled. They rushed me to theatre and the last thing I remember was having to climb onto a new bed and the green mask over my face. I woke up 2 hours after Chloe was born
She was born blue and needed oxygen etc, but after 5 mins my husband was able to hold her. He says they would not allow him into the theatre and all he could see was my arm and a pile of bloody rags needless to say,, I am glad he missed seeing a blue baby
We are all fine now, came home on saturday 21 May and slowly adjusting to life with two girls
Our eldest is still very touchy and not thrilled about all the attention new baby is getting. It's not easy, but her daddy is doing a super job taking care of us. I am still trying to figure out how to adjust after a c-section, I think I'm doing ok. Trying to be active, but not too crazy...any tips??

So it's my last day of being pregnant.. Mixed emotions but on the upside I cannot wait to meet this little girl tomorrow... This pregnancy indeed flew past!

Hi Ladies

Firstly congrats to the new moms, I skimmed through the pages and what beautiful babies Licious and Maj

My little Rosalie has just come out of hospital a few days ago after just been discharged from hospital 3 days previously. She lost weight drastically and was just under 2.4kg and dropping after her birth weight of 2.8kg. She has a immature/imbalance in her gut and was very nauseous to feed. It helped a bit and so did the antibiotics so she is slowly recovering from it all and i have to have her weighed weekly and is fed a top up of Pre Nan and FM85.
On top of that we think she has colic as cries from 10pm till 1am with terrible tummy cramps and winds, poor baby.

So long story short we are getting no sleep and really are sleepless zombies

How is everyone else doing? Are you also sleep deprived?

Hope you all doing well, sorry I have been so quiet been sorting out the last few things before baby arrives...

Congratulations to the Mommies on the newest babies that have arrived... Super awesome!

So who is left besides myself??

Saw the gynae on Monday, baby is good.. She's weighing 2.8kgs which is small but we shall see when she is born.. I'm getting anxious and impatient even though the c-section is 4 days away.. Have to be at Hospital at 6am Tuesday morning, I'm 4th on the list, should be going in around 11am... Cannot wait! 38 weeks and I'm so uncomfortable..

Hope all you Mommies are managing with your new babies, must admit i had a melt down a week ago wondering if I'm gonna be a good Mommy.. Was terrible, was such an emotional wreck!

Hope to pop in before I have baby if not I will definately send a picture once she's here

@Maj - I bath him every day at around the same time. But in the beginning we also did every second day. Oh the spit up...we have the same problem. It all piles up in the neck rolls and it has a sour smell after a while. Quite a struggle to wash in between those neck rolls too...

I have not done much with the UIF yet. I tried to submit this week on the online system and it keeps on saying it will email me a form that my doctor must complete but nothing happens. I am going to try again.

Any advise from anyone who actually succeeded on the online system will be highly appreciated. Thanks
