@ Maj, I am having the exact opposite to you as little Rosalie does not really poo on her own and using glycerin suppositories and Lascon. I can only imagine all the laundry you had to do,lol. Has the flu cleared up?

@ Ninies, you must be over the moon that your little boy is thriving so nicely and getting so big

@ MTC, beautiful pics! How is the little one doing?

@ Lola, my little one also had terrible tummy cramps and still does, gripe water did help and she also has loads of winds. Its seems like she is lactose intolerant.

AFM, I am breastfeeding and topping up with a soy based formula as she was loosing weight just on my breast milk and is lactose intolerant. I bf her and then after - give her bottle but its a struggle to breastfeed as I need to use nipple shields which falls off and she does gets so sleepy at the breast that it is a constant fight to keep her going. I feel so disappointed and a failure as I thought bf would be so easy and wanted to so badly exclusively bf. I know a healthy baby is all you want been him/her been bf or bottle fed it doesn't matter.
Okay thats my rant.

Ps, I am really not looking forward to Winter, brr its getting so cold in the evenings already.

I think everybody has had their babies by now?? Congrats MomtoChloe - Only realised now we both have a Chloe!! Kiara is gorgeous!

Breastfeeding is fun, but sometimes I feel quite chained to my chair/bed :/ I do keep telling myself I need to express some milk, but really - where do I find the time for that? Besides, my first daughter absolutely refused to drink anywhere but from my breasts. Even expressed milk, she refused to drink, which was pretty annoying. I'm really going to try with this one though...because I want to go to the movies lol!!!

@Maj - I hate those messy poos  And then everything they are wearing needs to be washed...I've even contemplated just throwing it all away!

We have had some terrible cramps for the first week and a bit, but things are finally settling down. The gripe water really worked well, but I also got something from the chemist which helped. We are not over it yet, she still cries and scrunches up her body at night, but definitely improved. I'm hoping she just magically gets over it

Good luck to everyone...now the weather is colder and we get to snuggle with our new babies

Hi Everyone, hope you and the babies are doing well.

@Jaybee, have things improved with Rosalie?

@ninies, thanks for the UIF info.
Glad Luke is growing well.

Naseeha picked up the cold/flu from her sister! It's no fun-she has phlegm which she struggles so much to get out! And her sinuses are clogged, so she is struggling to breathe at times. And she also has an ear infection. Poor baby! The dr has put her on antibiotics, and cough syrup
I hope she gets better soon! The dr was considering admitting her to hospital as she is only 2 weeks and a bit! Thankfully he didn't. I have another app with the dr on Wed, I hope the ear has cleared up by then!

@Jaybee - So sorry to hear of your ordeal with your little lady. I am holding thumbs that things improve on your side very quickly. I cant even imagine how sleep deprived you must be.

@Maj - the website is: www.ufiling.co.za/.
You have to register yourself on there and then follow the tab where it says apply for benefits. Complete the form and send all the stuff through that they ask for. I went to my gynae today for my 6 week check up and he had to fill in one of the forms and sign it. I am yet to fax the forms back to them - will do so on Friday, but I am registered.
Good luck with this.
PS: I know all about those poo nappies where it just leaks and you have to change everything...clothes and all. It does get better. We are on one big one a day.

@Lolabunny - Congrats. She is beautiful. Sorry you had such a stressful birth.

@MTC - Good luck for today. Please send us a pic of your little angel as soon as you can.

AFM - we had Luke's 6 week check up at the pediatrician today. He weighs 5.8kg's already and is 60cm's. He obviously has a love relationship with his bottle of NAN. The doctor is very happy.
We will introduce cereal from 4 months he said.

@MTC all the best for today. Am so excited for you. It will all go well and you will be great. It's amazing how mummy instinct kicks in, and you remember how to do everything!

@lolabunny, your daughter is soo cute! Glad she is with you and that you are home and recovering and adjusting!! Sorry that you and baby had to go through such stress though!

@jay-bee, oh no!! Poor baby, and poor parents! Wish there was some advice I could offer... Get as much rest as possible, sleep when she sleeps. Don't worry about the house. The only cleaning you need to do is have clean clothes for the baby!

@ninies, can you send me the page that you are doing the UIF application through. I cannot even figure out where to start

AFM, the spit up is getting worse. I ain't too bothered by it really. The sister at the clinic did suggest telament, but she ain't cramping so I won't use it. My mum gets quite upset about it though (as she did when my elder daughter went through the same)!
The size of the poo has also increased! Everyday she has 1 massive poo (and small 1s too) but it leaks from the nappy, messes the growers and even the blankets!! lol.
