@ Maj, thank you and glad my tummy is easing up. When they do all the down syndrome etc testing it goes together with the 4D scan so I can't choose what type of scan I have. My sister and friend both went at 13 weeks and I just thought that it was the normal time to go. Would love to have the 4D scan when baby is bigger and has facial features but will see as they are a bit pricey.

My Gynae has also scheduled a 16w4d scan the 4th December and really hoping then or if not before we can find out the gender.

Ps, I think that I have a bump but my sister says its gas/bloating :P

@ Liefie congratulations
@ Gib I had no symptoms the first time around, maybe a slight aversion to raw meat and a little tiredness. My first was a girl! This time around, I have been nauseous, extremely tired, etc etc. but not sure what we are having.

@CDLK my sympathies about your MIL.

Hi ladies

Sorry I haven't posted about my scan. We've had a very bitter sweet day. As we were about to go in for scan hubby got news his mom passed away. She had very progressive MS for the past 14 years, her body eventually decided that it had enough. She suffered severely the past 2 years.

On the good news side the scan went very well. Doc is really happy with baba, no indication of downs. Will get blood results on Monday. Baby is really big (my son was as well). Measuring at 13w1d, 5 days ahead of time. My son was also always in 90 percentile at every scan. Doc is convinced it's a little girl...we'll be very thrilled if that is the case! Next scan on 19 Nov, can't wait!!

@ Liefie - Welcome!

I am the opposite to you - no symptoms first time round but been very nauseous this pregnancy. Was your first baby a boy or a girl? I believe girls make you feel worse!
