@Momtobe3: oh gosh! its probably going to be cheaper for you to book in somewhere in CT, than the petrol you are going to have to spend coming and going. I cant even suggest having a strong cup of coffee before you leave, as you probably have had a strong cup!
I think you should really just tell people you dont know until you want to tell them!
With my daughter, the dr told me at somewhere between 12 and 16 weeks. We really wanted to find out. Hubby really wants a son, but he somehow knew it was going to be a girl!. I was kinda impartial.
This time around Hubby really wants a boy again, as he only wants 2 kids. I again am pretty impartial. If we have a girl, I might be able to convince him we can have a 3rd kid

, but if its a boy, i dont think much will change his mind!
I dont want to find out this time around actually. It made things a little easier in terms of buying stuff (mostly clothes) and choosing a name. But that was about it.
We didnt do a nursery (and wont have 1 now either). We had alot of pink (which I am now so over!), And I think we bought too many clothes anyway!
And hubby is set on his dad's name if its a boy (i literally have no say in this!), so we need to some options for a girl available.
hubby reckons we should find out for his parents, as his mum like stockpiling stuff, and buying n advance but I really dont think its reason enough to find out!
