Its free you just go in and book your bed. You also get a baby book with info etc!

@Babydreaming - I am feeling ok with times, but mornings and evenings are just an off-feeling. Not that bad that I have to run to the bathroom...

I am 9w3d today. Still so long to go, but time flies.
How much does it cost these days to book the bed? With my son we paid R 300 and it included the 3D scan and a hamper and the ante natal classes. That was at the Wilgers. Does anyone know what it costs at the Wilgers these days?

This is my second pregnancy, the 1st one we lost in April 2015 at 8 weeks. So actually my 1st being this far. I am 13w3d today.

@Zaza - omw, we have the exact same heartburn! Lol! I have to agree when baby moves a lot i get it quite bad too and with spicy food as well. Added another pillow last night and that seem to have work - thank you!!

I use Maalox and it helps, it tastes like the white chalk for the black boards but its great.

So I wanted to know about round ligament pain. I have this weird irritating pain just above my pubic bone on the right, so they said its that but then some peeps say that its to early.

We've discussed this quite a bit in the Due Oct/Nov 2015 thread, but I attended a talk by a gastroenterologist last week and he said that if the heartburn is severe, you can use proton pump inhibitors (class of drug) AFTER the first trimester. If Gaviscon and antacids (like Rennies) aren't helping, then chat to your gynae about a script for omeprazole (Losec, Omez, Altosec), pantoprazole (Pantoloc, Topzole) or rabeprazole (Pariet). These are considered safe, he said that for the duration that it would be used it won't do any harm. He did, however caution against lansoprazole (Lansoloc, Lancap) - probably not as much data available.

I've had some days with horrendous heartburn, but have managed to get by. Most of the time I know that it's my own fault from eating greasy foods!
