WRT party themes, If I do a party for C this year it will be a Gogga ball LOL he loves gogga's of any kind especially if they're moving. He walks around the whole day saying 'gogga, gogga' pointing at any little black mark he sees. I thought it was at least something different.

Vix the day I was discharged I felt like a load was lifted off my shoulders! The nurses were awful.

After that 3hrs of feeding at midnight I finally buzzed nurse...u know how she scolded me and then Addy saying Addy was naughty and she was under staffed in nursery. Oh my word I sobbed as she wheeled Addy away wondering how she'd be treated by this woman!

They wrote on my chart how incompetent I was at bf...and then left it there for me to read! Awesome!

Mandy I got this huge smile on my face while reading about cam and the pony! Too freakin cute!

Vix I'm sure 2nd time round must be so much easier and less stressful.

Guys my skin is looking TERRIBLE! I can't afford pills anymore so I'm not on anything....got my monthlies and I'm like a pimply teenager! I feel like crying....cause I look gross! My forehead is covered in dimples....my cheeks! Oh my word!!!!!!

Hey Gals,

My caesar went so well, I hardly felt the epidural.. took baby out and i held him on my chest for 2 or 3 mins,and then dh went with him to nursery. Then about half an hour later, i was brought to ward from op table and they wanted cam in uncubator.. I said, pls bring my baby and they said, no dear, have some tea first. I said, no thanks, bring my baby, and they said, baby needs incubator and you need the sugar especially if you want to breasfeed! so i slugged down the tea which took 15 minutes to come to me and demanded my baby! after snuggling him he latched immediately!! i took all the blankets off him to see his little body for like 3 minutes and he turned blue so the nurses had to take him for another half an hour to the incubator and seemed to be annoyed with me ! Hey, maybe a nurse should actually HANG around while you have your baby the first hour or so!! after baby went back to incubator, i realised how numb my legs were and felt completely out of control! not so nice! it must feel like that for people who become paralysed!! shame man!

anyhoo..

fathers day was really great. I gave dh sunday morning off ( which is the ONLY morning he usually gets cam when he wakes) then we went to the jhb zoo at 09h30, it was a little chilly but we were dressed for it.. it was so quiet there at that time and it was really devine! good time spent together! then cam home and cam snoozed and then gave dad the afternoon for some much needed clothes shopping while we went to a party for a 3yr old.. They brought out a pony and cameron loved it, he kept touching the horse and then when each child got on, cameron followed the horse around the yard! on his own while we all watched!! TOOO CUTE and eventually when it was his turn, he got on with a huge smile and balance etc - obviously i held onto his pants incase and walked around with him. He held on and didnt let go and smiled all the way, then he didnt want to get off! it was so awesome!

anyhoo gals, one of my friends is having her c -sec of her second tomorrow! her first is 3 weeks younger than cam, so much like Nel! I am always telling her nelria stories..

okay! time to watch gordons kitchen nightmares, supernanny, This is it and will save carte blanch for tomorrow, have a good night alll!llll!!

Simone- it's sad that the ward nurses would make you feel so inadequate. It just goes to show which hospital you choose can have a huge impact on a 1st time mother.

Yes I used to express way faster by hand than with a pump. The pump was actualy. A waste.

I know now that it'll be o.k if I don't feed baby every hour and I won't phone anyone for advice LOL

It's my hospital's policy to put all C-sec babies in an incubator for 2 hours even though his apgar was 9/10

Just gotta go bath my boy....

ok, I just asked hubby. Mia was in the incubator for about 4 - 5 hours. I only really woke up after 3 hours....
