Hi Everyone

Just a quick update. Cole started his new daycare today and he was amazing. Super excited and said goodbye to me without any tears.

His teacher phoned me at about 11am to say that he was doing fine. Was a bit sad after it hit him that he was in a totally different environment but otherwise was playing nicely and having fun.

So I am super proud of him.

Have a great day!

Lisha how is the move going? dont worry also struggling with K this side with hayfever etc. He also had tonsillities two weeks back which i caught from him thereafter...so there's been alot of sick people in my house this winter already!

Lwasi good to hear from you and im pleased all is going well in DC! enjoy the experiance, it must be amazing. How did Amu manage the change?

Afm, all well just been super busy as always, still trying to go strong on my diet lol.

K is doing well and has become such a character! His imagination really amazes me. His "thing" at the moment is contruction equipment (forklifts/graders etc) and police cars.

otherwise ladies, i hope everyone is doing well!

Hey ladies,

I posted such a LONG post and now I cant find it. long time no 'see' I hope all the kiddies and mommies are doing ok as well. As u may be aware now, I FINALLY did come to DC and its been such a lovely experience so far. Usualy one gets to their destination then stays in a hotel and looks for a place to stay, I on the other hand I asked the admin guys at the Embassy to look for a place for me while i was still in SA and by doing that I avoided a lot of delays on the department side re approval and financing that could lead to the hotel stay to be a month and more.

I only stayed in the hotel for 5 days cos my house was ready when I got there, so that part of logistics was done. I had the task of looking for a school for Amo which was quite a job, finally I found him a school after a whole month of looking. Got one which was prestigious, proffessional but staff was unfriendly and rude, I chose another one which was good, had lovely accomodating staff. I figured I might as well get my child to a school where I am comfortable and my child is happy than the so called best school but not be happy with my child.

Work is hectic i wont lie, i am a bit nervous about it but I guess I will gt it as time goes by, I am happy I dont miss home I just miss my family and friends. I will try to pop in once in a while and not be totally qiute.

I missed u ladies,

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.
