Hi Ladies
Lovely to hear that you are all alive and well
Yoza - I'm so pleased that Siba is doing so well, not an easy journey you are travelling but it is obviously proving to be fulfilling at times.
Lwasi - I'm so happy for you that things are working out, as Yoza said it is a fantastic opportunity for you, enjoy!
Simone - I introduced meat around 6 months as well, and like Yoza I stopped blending quite early with Nina as well (Oliver took a whole lot longer for textures - maybe a boy girl thing...?!) and then by about 7 months she was eating everything and by 12 months we were just mashing with a fork. Glad to hear things are going so well with your two, Addison sounds like quite the big sister

Oliver is also very caring and he can't wait to race into Nina's room in the morning, its beautiful to see the interaction between siblings. Although mine are like chalk and cheese, they are either loving each other or hating each other, there is no middle ground lol.
Angie - You must be very pleased that Cole is settling nicely, takes a huge weight of the mind and tension of the shoulders when you know they are happy
Ally - How are you doing? Not an easy situation to be in, are you feeling any better about it all?
Lisha are you all settled in? I'm keeping my hopes up like Yoza lol...any plans for no2?
Everyone else, a big hello
We are well, Oliver is growing by the day, he fills 5-6year old clothes now and wears a size 12 shoe lol. We're still waiting for the report on his speech assessment but we start speech therapy on Friday, I really hope it helps and quickly too. He loves going to see the therapist so at least he's building a nice relationship with her, I just hope she can help him. He's extremely protective of his sister, way too protective at times and it can be hard as he's only trying to help, going to be a very sensitive boy I think. Nina is still a little madam but oh so cute with it. She's extremely polite and says please and thank you without being prompted, everybody loves her lol (until they see the tantrums she can throw that is!). She is speaking very nicely and feeds herself with a spoon and fork, won't let me near her to feed her lol, the most she'll do is let me put the food on the spoon then she'll take the spoon from me. And she LOVES her vegetables, eats them first. I still struggle to get Oliver to eat anything green whereas if she has something green on her plate she'll eat it first (unless there are carrots on the plate as wel, she always eats those first lol!).
My SIL is still beating the odds and fighting with every breath, my BIL organised the most amazing thing for her, he sings in UCT choir and had invited her to see their last performance of the year but she was too sick to make it, he was devastated so he asked his choir master if they could organise to take their voices to her. She lives on the first floor of an apartment building and so the 30-40member choir gathered out the front and then Theo (who went to visit her for the weekend) and her husband helped her downstairs, she had no idea what was happening and as she rounded the corner to the garden they started singing, Theo got it on video and it was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful, they started with the Leonard Cohen song 'Hallelujah' so needless to say everyone was in tears. Muyst have been so moving to be serenaded by so many voices.
I had a fantastic birthday, I hadn't planned anything as with everything going on with my SIL I didn't want to organise anything as it didn't feel right. Theo then said we had to do something and I said it was way too late to organise anything (it was the Tuesday and my birthday was on the SAturday)but he went ahead anyway and amazingly everyone made it, it was just one of those parties that was obviously meant to be

We all had a fab time (suffered for it the next day though lol) and to top it all off Theo bought me the most beautiful rainbow sapphire ring, I have wanted one for as long as I can remember so I felt really special
We have a wedding on Saturday and I'm dreading it, the forecast is for a max of 13deg and I have a (albeit beautiful) sleeveless dress and no frigging jacket/wrap to wear with it...eeeek! Not quite sure what I'm going to do there...
Anyways, that's about all from me, I do come and read, just don't get much time to drop you all a line
