okay saw the price for the sleep sense winter sac is R365..

will check out clicks one but i also prefer if we go out at nights, on the way home, she can still be snug in the sleeping bag and not remove other blankets...

i rather buy quality stuff that would last now next winter...mmm well next march only...winter only begins then

Thanks Kerry... that would be great

for info, how much is the clicks one and then the sleep sense one and how till they can use it - age wise ?

want to spend money on something that will last longer... i dont mind

as long K can still stand up, cause whenever she is awake, she stands up in the cot...

i just dont want to stumble being tied down

I use the sleep-sense one and its brilliant, especially as in the mornings we lave at half past 5 to take her through to MIL... si i puck her up from her crib sleeping and put her in the car seat, strap her in and hand over a sleeping child. No trouble at all. MIL then waits till she wakes (or is supposed to but doesn't), chanhes her nappy gives her breakfast and dresses her

K manages to toss and turn in it with absolutely no trouble... and she also absolutely hates being swaddled or held down, but in it she has even managed to stand up in her crib in the mornings. The only bad thing that has happened once or twice is that she has managed to get her foot through the car seat hole... but thats not such a biggie!

:-) I really would reccommend it, but maybe what you should do is try buying a cheaper one (I see clicks has a house brand one) and trying that out first - that way if baby doesn't take to it you havent wasted so much money? The thing is i found that the baby sense one is the ONLY one that has car seat holes! Or actually.. come to think of it i have the summer weight one you could borrow? My dogs chewed it so ill just have to fix it, but i could bring it along to the meet next weekend and you could try it out? Obviously use a blanket along with it as it is very thin.

yummy Kerry, perfect winter food

K always sleeps out of the blankets, she is never still from birth, you will find her in all corners of the cot each time you have a look.

so i put layers of clothing and we have a panel heater but still. its cold. i cant sleep without any blanky

Kerry what sleeping bag do you use ? i thought of getting the sleeping sac from sleep sense. K just does not like to swaddled from birth, likes the hands out the blanket, no matter what

dont know if a sleeping bag would work for her...she is on her tummy, then back, then side, then in the corner of the cot, everywhere. so the sleeping bag might restrain her and not much movement with that ? or am i wrong Kerry... ? not sure what kind you have

but must think of something else that can cover her up no matter what.

Cols - I hope you didn't lose anything! :-) I know it really sucks when you lose stuff!

WOW! Its bitter cold this morning! baby room went down to 14 degrees last night... thats WITH the panel heater on! Luckily i had K in her sleeping bag so i just threw a blanket over her. this morning i checked her temp and she was very warm and snuggly!

K was shouting in her sleep again last night but i had the sense to instill a 10 second rule... as in i wait ten seconds for a second cry and if it doesn't come i don't get up.

So tonight the god parents are coming around for supper and an all night movie fest, they are spending the night and God mom is taking the baby monitor to bed :-) YAAAYYYY

Dinner is already in the slowcooker... cooking itself... all is sunshine and roses! (Well for today at any rate)

Heres supper

and i guess K is having fish fingers, peas and butternut.

shame cols...I hope you dont lose all your backed up stuff

well another cold day.

well after a long time, K woke up at 2:30am and did not want to sleep. i tried tapping for an hour and no joy...then at 3:30 decided to give her bottle as he normally wakes up anything from 4am. has the bottle and goes back to bed... this time, no

she smiles at me in her cot, i make her snug and then turn my back, she moans, then eventually thought at 4am. must me her gums. so i put some teejel on her gums, sat on the chair in the room and made her sleep. did not take much time. guess she was also tired from being awake so long... but after that, it was time for me to shower and get ready for work..so i did not have even few hours of sleep ... lucky its friday

i cant see the tooth, but i can see white outside her gum at the bottom where the other tooth is rooted from...no bumps or anything but the nanny also said she has been having more saliva and biting on her toys more these last two days...

last time we did not even know she had her first tooth cutting, she was niggly on two days or so, it just came right through. was there so quickly. was very good, even like this morning, she was not crying blue murder or anything.

i was wondering, she had her first tooth at 4mnths, why is it taking so long for the second one...lets hope it is her tooth :)

anyway, tomorrow i have an eventful day of seeing 2 houses and then one sunday... need to fit in shopping for K, monthly nappies, formula, toiletetries...

WOW, away for a day and I had to read though almost 3 pages    .

All I can say to all of you that are busy renovating is GOOD LUCK!!! My Dh believes in DIY. Our bedroom and bathroom is our next project, so not looking forward to it :(

Sher and Kerry, I was like that before I had kids. Eased a bit after the first and now, I just don't give a damn. I know, I'm a SAHM for now and there are days I don't even get a chance to brush my teeth before 10am. But, it still irritates the heck out of me.

Cols, could you get your stuff back? Holding thumbs

Anyone else thinking about another baby?
Some people think it is the best to have a age gap of under 2 then you get it over with. Your body is in the routine, so to speak, of no sleep, etc, etc. For me, would not have worked. Yes, the age gap between my kids are bigger than planned, but looking back now, I don't think I would have coped so well with a smaller age gap.

How are all the LO's doing, besides preventing their mom's from getting their beauty sleep? My one is sleeping better, but still not through. Her daytime naps are better as well, but it is still a fight to get her to go down. Eating today was a real struggle. Shame, seems like her gums were really bothering her. Wish those teeth can just come out now. Not fun seeing my baby in pain.

Hope you all have a peaceful night and that the last workday of the week goes really fast so you can spend a nice weekend with your babies.

PS. Kerry, you are brave for putting up with so much for so long.
