FINALLY! Kaelyn slept again last night... phew i thought it would never happen... bet it won't happen two nights in a row though... specially not with today being friday huh?

Fathers day! Hmmm i have no idea, but i had better think fast huh?

Cols - shame on the sleep subject....

we dont know what sleep is since pregnancy days, shame DH does shift few times, he helps alot at home... bottles, night shift, feeding and loves changing K. play swith her... somehow i feel that i could sleep for a week to feel better. my K never sleeps through.

all my friends babies, slept through since 2 months or 3... DH did the shift last night and K woke up twice for dummy and then finally bottle... he always gets the bad nights, shame

we have been to delta park few times and for a 1 year in march, went back last month i think for a picnic....

it is a nice place... Tonight i feel like i need to go out for dinner, we not cooking but its cold and then, i dont know if you guys experience this, but when we take K out, her routine is out the window. she wont sleep cause too much entertainment... but i cant stop life and be at home...some friends of mine do that, they dont want a difficult child so they go out but come back early ....

Evan's birthday is the same weekend as his Christening so we are combining the 2. I wont be doing party packs but I will have cake, snacks etc and will put out stuff for the kids.

As for the cake, I got a quote for a stunning cake but it is pricey.

Sher, what about Delta park / zoo lake (by moyo)? Delta park is free, it has the bird sanctuary and 2 massive jungle gyms. There is plenty of space for you to set up some umbrellas / gazibos. The kids can go moggy on the jungle gyms. It's clean, well maintained and free.

Ooo fathers day, I have no idea what to do for that... DH took me for breakfast and got me my favourite flowers. I put a pen in Evan's hand and let him scribble in cards for DH, then I take water paint and paint Evan's foot and put his foot print in the card

Evan still isnt 100%. No temp or anything just miserable on and off and still not eating well. I spoke to his paed on Tuesday and she thought he may have gotten a tummy bug and it would take a few days for him to come right. I have a booking for Monday if he doesnt improve. He will not let me touch his mouth so it could very well be teething...

We went for a picnic at Delta park yesterday after voting. We had a lovely time. It is so nice there. Evan would not drink his water our of his bottle, he wanted my water from my bottle! I would offer him his bottle he'd purse his lips and shake his head. When I drank from my bottle he would try take the bottle from me and would try climb on me (in his little way) to get it. I thought he was playing so I put my bottle by his mouth and he drank from it! I think I am going to start putting his drinks in sippy cups.

Charn, so glad she enjoyed the french toast. Today I put cream cheese on Evan's toast. He threw his toast at DH the 1st time he picked it up this am and then he realised it wasnt so bad. He loved it in the end and had cream cheese all over his hands and face

Sher, what about roasting the lamb with some butternut etc? just dice up your butternut and sweet potato and roast it with your meat? It gives the veggies a different flavour.

I am going to try making Evan chicken nuggets for dinner tonight with some peas and corn / broccoli florrets or maybe oven bake chips. Right now I'm up for anything I can actually get him to eat!

He also doesnt like me feeding him so now we both have spoons so everytime he opens his mouth to put his spoon in I slip a spoonful of food in!

Sleep escapes me too. Evan was up at 4:50 am yesterday and 4:30 am today! OMW! Yesterday DH woke up at 8am, I handed Evan to his dad, told him to give him a bath, bottle etc and climbed back into bed for 3 hours. today I got him to lie down in his cot at 6am (Everytime I tried to lie him down he screamed blue murder like he was being abandoned!) and I climbed back into bed. DH got up and took him downstairs and I got up at 7:30. Totally shattered. I feel like I am never going to have a decent nights sleep ever again! He doesnt sleep in our bed, I have tried, our bed seems to be his play zone!

I really hope all our LO's settle down now and let us mommies get some sleep

botanical gardens was my idea for little one until i told a friend and she did her boys there cause his was in May

so now have to think of another idea.

For the record, my girl's name is Shani, no teeth, no crawling, only bum shuffle, standing and cruising along furniture

Oh, when will they eventually sleep though? Mine now realise when she is about to fall asleep, that that is what is busy happening, then she gets up and all hyper. She woke up at 10 last night and wanted to play Luckily, she slept form 12 till about 7 this morning. I have started to water down her bottles as night and it seems to help a bit. She would wake up, have a small sip and realise it's just not worth it, went straight back to sleep.

As for the birthday party, still in two about it. We not big on parties. My son only had a bog party this year when he turned 6. For his first party, I made him a cake and we had a couple of friends over for tea. No party packs, nothing. Since this is my last baby, I wanted to do something special. Was thinking of a cupcake theme. and just let our friends know that we will be at the Botanical Gardens on that day. Whoever wants to join are welcome . The only reason why I want to do it si to have some nice pics.

Sher my godmom is making a rubber duck cake for my little one... she doesn't make cakes for a living, she is a school teacher but she loves making cakes and i am sure she would love to do something for you...
