so the ladies who are having a 1 year little party for their little ones

anywhere where we can get nice cakes, nothing that rips us off.

i really think the LO wont know anything, so wasting money on a huge cake is a waste...

any ideas and what are you doing, i know we chatted briefly but i really dont know...my garden is way too small, we live in complex

need to think where i can have it..what do you pack in the party packs, they cant even eat anything thats in there.

i went to a 1 year few weeks back, they just had snacks, sweet stuff and cooldrinks and coffe and tea. for kids nothing, as the oldest was her son who turned 1....

do you think its a waste ..i want to do her 2nd birthdy where she can understand a bit better. now its for the adults to socialise

i know its months away, but time is really flying and before i know it, it will be time

Mines off tomorrow... sooo unfair! and Kaelyn was in such a good mood yesterday i didn't want to leave her today!

Its' hard work cooking for these little monsters. So, I like the idea of sharing some ideas here Emily loved the frenchtoast idea - I made it for her as a snack after her cereal yesterday. DH is off today and tomorrow, so he is home with Emily and my mom - I am sooooo jealous

Charnenay - Kaelyn doesn't mind being fed... as long as it isn't with a spoon... if i do spagetti bolognaise i make her pasta sheels, then scoop the sauce into the shell and give her that... sometimes she takes it in her mouth other times i put it in her hand and she puts it in her mouth... but it works

MmMMM don't you want to come cook for K? Your food sounds better than mine... lol...

Tonight DH is cooking so will have to see what he comes up with for K... otherwise i may just sneak in steamed chicken, carrots and peas. Maybe with some rice or pasta

Sher – I make Emily meatballs with minced beef and veggies and a bit of herbs, then I pop them in the oven. Also made her bolognaise but she won’t eat that anymore because she does not like to be fed!! Yesterday, she had grated smoked chicken with steamed veggies and that was quite a hit. Today, my mom is trying some alphabet noodle soup – will see if she lets them feed that to her.

Kaelyn used to sleep through, but sahe has been cutting teeth for a good month straight now and i am starting to think she will never sleep well again!!!

Not too sure with the Lamb, i usually cook my meat in the oven and then cut it up and give her pieces... but i don't thik pureeing them would be a problem.

those top ones i hear are the most painful teeth to cut

its truey hey, you get our babies cutting their first tooth so early and they have just that one for months. then once their second tooth is cutting, they all just follow one after the other

I wonder when K is gonna get her second, she had hers like at 4 months. looks weird one little tooth sticking out

i was so glad i managed some sleep, K slept through 8pm - 5am. my baby never sleeps through, i can count the occasions she has. this was not even to stick the dummy in her mouth. good baby

we had a nice day yest, busy, we had a braai, cleaned up, made K food for today...

how so you ladies make lamb for your babies, i have to start K on lamb, that means anything in red meat ... steak, beef and mince ?

i steam my chicken and then puree with veggies. was thinking that steaming lamb though might not be that nice. how do you guys make lamb or any red meat ... i want to puree some and make some lumpier so she can chew, well mmm, try with one tooth.

just dont want it to be yucky... i cant cook it cause not allowed oil, salt or anything like that. maybe i will just put that in the oven.... and then cut up and puree
