girly i wish i can let the cat outa bag, but not just now...later you'll understand, or maybe the two of us should go for coffee...

anyhows ladies, i took some pics of my lil pot belly last night...now'll you understand what i meant with him trying to climb on everything higher than floor level and yep the grower he is wearing is a 12-18month one...scary....he was sucha tiny baba...I guess he loves his mommy's food alot

oja and he is not in a walker/walking ring

Girly - yes apparently you can get the part seperate, but they didnt have, but we still only paid R300 for the Madela base model (manual pump) which has the exact same funnel part so i'm now using the mini electric on that funnel and am back to normal

Aso regarding the studying, what i did when i had a similar situation is i Just printed the chapters in question in black and white out at my office(naughty), cant you maybe go to a post-net and have the four chapters printed to tide you over? I know it costs a bit, but less than cancelling the study unit

Hi girls

Still no teeth! Big bumps where they will come out though and one day last week we had symptoms of teething but that's all.

Kaylee is still a while away from crawling. She doesnt even get onto her knees yet. But I'm not worried as it happens anywhere between 7-9 months? And seems boys do it sooner than girls.
She is sitting very nicely, and we have this mobile which is designed for play while lying / sitting or standing. Lots of buttons and lots of sounds and K absolutely loves it cos she can sit and play. I cant leave her to sit alone yet though as she still loses balance and topples over but major progress from a week ago!
She also loves her walking ring, she follows me around the house, she investigates everything, and it gives her so much freedom. I'm thinking of lifting the rug in the lounge so she is free to move around more.
I try give her as much tummy time as possible, especially since we do the walking ring now, but she doesnt like it, think she's frustrated cos she tries to leopard crawl but cant. But then I put her on her back and she rolls over again within seconds.
She used to roll tummy to back first, but now that she's doing back to tummy she isnt doing tummy to back anymore. How strange!

As for food, since Saturday's throwing up incident she's a bit off her solids. It may also be that I'm introducing the stage 2 purity. I tried giving her beef & macaroni and omw its awful tasting! Not surprised she doesnt like it. But I gave her yoghurt & apple puree after her veggies today and she absolutely loved it!
She is also starting to stretch her milk feeds now, closer to 3,5 hours between feeds which is a first for us!
She's also stretching some of her awake times now.
Yesterday she was awake 4hrs between naps, and then she napped 1,5hrs instead of her usual 40mins.
Today she was awake 3hrs and been napping since 3:30 - now an hour. Usually she's only awake 2hrs before she has to go nap.
Maybe all this new development is attributing to her bad sleep at night?

Still wearing 3-6 month clothes. We took her to the clinic on Monday, weighing 6.6kgs and 64.5cm tall - my small girly
I bought the cutest 6-12month winter clothes at Pep on Saturday! A cute jacket for only R50, and polka dot pj's for R35! Really looking forward to the cooler weather

Cols sorry about Evan being sick Croup can be nasty so its good you caught it. Is he refusing milk because of being sick maybe? Shame man

Kerry yikes re the dogs! When dogs (or kids) go strangely quiet, it can only mean trouble! That's why cats are great, they mind their own business
Re the breastpump - can you get the non electric parts replaced without buying the motor? The funnel looking section has gone all brown, I think from all the use, and sterilizing while in hospital, and I am desperate for a new one but just cant afford R1500 esp if I will stop b/feeding when I go back to work!

I managed to cancel one of my study units, but I forfeit R500 for it, and the time lost (you only get 8 yrs to complete the degree).
And I phoned one of the accounting lecturers to explain that I still dont have the study guide and its very difficult to work with the electronic copy as you need to make notes on the instructions as you go. So I've been told to submit late (but as soon as possible), and submit a letter stating why (they can see that they havent sent me the books) and that the 2nd assignment MUST be on time! So at least now I can quickly get the other one done, and then do the accounting properly, doing all the exercises etc.
I'm finding it very difficult, it's new work which you have to learn, and with accounts its all about practicing so for the assignment I cant just do it open book, and it'll take at least 2 days just to submit the assignment once the work is done.

Okay enough bitching! I better get studying hmm!

Have not posted in a while, so not going to do personals.

As for crawling, my LG is playing games with us  She started crawling about 3 weeks ago. Did it twice while I was home alone with her and I got soooo excited, then when my mom and dh got there, she refused to do it again!!! I put her on her knees and she just looks at me as if I am crazy!!! Rocks back and forth, but refuses to move. Then, she did it for my mom last week, but again just once and refuses to do it again!!! I guess she likes to play games. Also, she is now moving to the bottom of her cot. I put her right on top to fall asleep and when we go and check on her, she is on her hands and knees, but right at the bottom of the cot and laughing at us – she is too cute  Still loves her dancing as well.

As for the solids, she is eating cereal in the morning, fruit in the afternoon and veg at night – we have not gotten more adventurous than that yet. She is now officially out of all her 3-6 months clothing and the 6-12 months fits her very nicely. We have had to move her cot to the lowest level because she tries to get out now!!!!

Still only 2 teeth – other than that, not much to report.
