Wow it sounds like alot of our babas are sick. John has had a cold for over a week now and he is just not getting better and now he has a bit of a runny tummy. Maybe I should take him to the paed. Wasn't going to cos you can't give them anything for a cold except saline drops and humidifier etc but maybe its something else. He doesn't have a fever/ temperature though and his snotty nose is see-through. white, hasn't changed to green/ yellow. But I'm still worried it might be more serious.

Ah shame Cols, you poor thing, its so hard. I hope Evan is feeling better when you get home. Sorry about your tooth! I've broken a tooth or two as well before, its the last thing you need now. Strongs hun
And Jeanine, thank goodness Willem is much better. Were you giving him any meds or does it have to go away on its own?

Oops, better run, my little guy has just woken up. He has been sleeping since 11am! It sounds really cool but it worries me cos it means he is not well. But hopefully the sleeping is helping him recover better. Chat soon...

Thanx Girly for that info, you're a superstar! Though we nowhere near there, there's some good ideas. Though the lactose is not gonna work for us.

DH and FIL thought they very oulik and gave Iz some coke to drink last night at church while I was catching up with an old friend . So I had a cramping baby last night!!!!! I made it VERY clear to him that if anyone tries that shit ever again they will get a coke can shoved sideways up their ass!!!!!! This morning I conveyed the same message to MIL, which in turn will let FIL know!

And offcourse DH got the nerve to tell me at 4 this mornig after I've been up every half hour with a crying baby that it might not be the coke . After I've been super carefull of what I give her, keeping a food diary! The man almost lost 3/4 of his teeth.

Iz is getting so oulik with the kissing thing. When you tell her to kiss someone, she opens her mouth and kisses them! In the mornings she kisses her sisters and daddy goodbye and when I pick her sisters up from school she kisses them hallo. Too nunu.

Robyn, wow on the standing up!! hehe for the chewing the cot, they LOVE getting things in their mouths. Willem's favorite is chewing the kitchen table when he sits in his feeding chair.

Willem surprised me this weekend. He was sitting on the carpet in front of his walking ring, and the next second he grabs the tray, and pulls himself right up to standing position! Of course, just to topple straight over side-ways again . I then grabbed the camera, and he did it 2 more times! No knees yet though He seems to be skipping some parts

Cols, shame hon, hope he gets better soon. Its not nice having a sick baba at home, and the lack of sleep is not helping either.

Sorry you had to cancel your studies, but glad you're less stressed.

Gave my boy some carrots yesterday, and just mashed it. Well two bites, and it all came back up again As in vomit, not spit. So, pureed the rest for the freezer, and will try again in a day or two.
Think I'll try some sweet potato soon. I'm falling a bit behind in the variety .

As for the measles - he seems to be over it now
Rash gone since saturday, and he is back on his tea and cereal since Sunday.
Also sleeping a lot better (except that he decided to miss his 7pm feed last night, and woke up at 1:30am instead - but he was sleeping SO soundly, couldn't make myself wake him up)

Sorry I dont have time to do individual replies right now...

I am exhausted, Evan is sick - still / again... I am loosing it... He has a phlemy cough and runny nose. The paed gave him the all clear on Wednesday but he's just not getting better... I had 2 1/2 hrs sleep and am on the verge of tears. At the office and just want to be home with my boy but cant keep taking time off. I have to go to the dentist at 11:30 to get my broken tooth pulled. Am in a 1st aid course tomorrow and wednesday. I have a pile of work. I am not getting enough time for studies and I feel so distant from DH right now.

Evan's eating so little and refuses his milk. He will not eat any veg / meat. Fruit is a push and he will basically only have a tiny bit of that or yoghurt (which doesnt help the snottyness but it's all he'll eat )

He hasnt got a fever but last night he was screaming in pain but I dont know what was hurting him. I eventually gave him panado at 4am so he could get some sleep. He hardly slept last night. I had to put him in bed with me, DH slept in the spare room. He held my hand and cried every time I took my hand away. It's not like him and I just dont know what to do anymore...

I promise to catch up properly later - I have read all your posts
