So, we went to the paed yesterday, I just decided to make her 6 month check up 2 weeks early. Paed is totally happy with her. He says she is growing nicely and has strong muscle tone all around, so he is sure she CAN roll over and much more, she just CHOOSES not to!! My sister says it's 'cos she is a princess

She now weighs 7.25KG and is still nice and tall - 70 CM's!!!! Above average for weight and way above average for height. Still only drinks 5 x 150ml Formula bottles per day and not much interested in cereal or food at all. Paed says not to worry about it, she will eat and drink more when she is ready and as long as she is growing as nicely as she is, we should just leave her until she is ready.

She laughed at the doctor the whole time yesterday, would not stop laughing at him, even when he was looking away from her and talking to us - it was very cute, but I think her dad got jealous

Well, so much for the sleeping through - He slept through on Sunday night, and then spent the entire Monday screaming for food!!
Poor MIL - because I'm at work, and expressing, I only left 2 bottles for him, and she had to make it last.

So, Monday night I woke up 4am again, and happy baby tuesday...

Going to buy cereal this weekend, so hopefully we can try again soon.

Wow, so good to see everyone back on! And more especially how well all our babies are doing.

I go back to work on 1 Feb and am def not looking forward to it. Fortunately for me my mum will be caring for Peyton so less stress for me.

She is on solids now - she has cereal at about 8am, then lunch at 12:00 which is normally fruit and sometimes yoghurt (full cream sugar free) and then dinner at 17h00 which is home made veggies. She also has betw 4 - 5 bottles of formula a day. If we are going out I give her Olli stage 1 bottle food. She has also recently started enjoying the Olli teething biscuits.

I started giving her finger foods as she enjoys eating by herself. She literally pulls the spoon out of my hand so that she can feed herself, its so funny! So I gave her fingers of toast and she loved it. If she chews a bigger piece than she can swallow she spits it out.

So far, she has tried Nestum rice cereal, butternut, carrots, sweetpotatoe, peas (didn't like that too much but going to keep trying) banana, apples, nectarines, sweet melon & plums.
Going to try gem squash, potatoe and maybe greenbeans next.

She naps well during the day 4-5 hours split bet morning and afternoon.

Having being giving her a bath at 18h30 since 4 weeks and she sleeps from about 19h30/20h00 but wakes once at midnight or sometimes just at 3:00 and then stays awake sometimes for an hour and then falls asleep. I dropped the midnight feed and offer her water instead- she drinks a bit and usually falls asleep.. Sometimes I just put her dummy back in and tap her and she falls asleep.

She can sit unsupported for longer periods now and rolls from back to tummy and from tummy to back.. She loves biting her toes and can pick up finger foods and feed herself. She stands supported very well and is her preferred position!
Changing to Nan 2 next week as she will be 6 months on 25 Jan.

She is a very happy baby - gets ufrom naps laughing and only ever cries when she is over tired.
Flying with her to Dbn next week to meet family - so looking forward to it.

She adores music and loves nursery rhymes. She breaks into laughter as soon as I start singing her fav nursery rhymes.

She doesn't do too well with strangers and def knows faces. She also lifts her hands to be picked up.

She loves playing in her pool and looks adorable in her bikini.

Have to get her ready for her bath just now so must go.

well my books have arrived from UNISA! Guess who needs to start studying... I have my 1st assignments due in Feb!!
