OMW - another bad night

DH got back at 19h30 and put D to bed - he stayed with her for 30mins til she fell asleep
but as soon as he left, she got up and screamed so much that she got sick again
Abit later DH thought she would be hungry so he gave her some cereal and she again got sick
but ALL OVER DH AND THE CARPET!!! (I'm sure you all know how difficult it is to get vomit smells out a carpet?!
thankfully the maid is there today!)
I eventually calmed her down (after she watched me clean the carpet for about 30mins!!!)
and got her to sleep (thankfully she slept thru)
Basically, I covered the front of the cot so she couldn't see when I left and put a pillow against her back
so it felt like my hand was on her back the whole time and then I snuck out
I don't know what is going on with her now - and this happens the week we are going away!
We'll just have to take turns sitting with her til she falls asleep in the park and keep the monitor on

When I'm back on the 7th, I'll put up some pics of the game park & scan

Joybaby - G thanks! Pity DH is working tomorrow... it sucks i know, but it could be worse huh?

Flowergirl... good luck!!! I am sure you will have a blast on holiday, we did with K. It just seems they are at the right age to understand it a holiday and they are a little more co operative.

Hey ladies!

JB - so glad that K is enjoying having her grandparents so close to her all the time! So sweet. Emily also gets really upset on the weekends when she realises that my moms bed is empty

She has just gotten soooooo super cute these last few weeks. She makes us laugh and I just loooooove spending time with her! She is very demanding though and wants us to play games "her" way, so I am trying to teach her that you can't always be the boss. I get very annoyed with little girls who boss other children around all the time - usually see this at about 3 years up!

Cols - we all keeping fingers and toes crossed for your BFP!!!

Ladies, have a SUPER long Weekend. I am soooooooo looking forward to this as it is the first time we go on holiday with Em!!!!!

Kerry woohooo on the + OPK!!! It's almost as exciting as seeing a BFP
And whats bonus is its long weekend, cuddle up weather and lots of reasons to get into the mood!
I really hope you wont have any struggle this time around either! We were also quite lucky in that regard the first time, but that ended in MC. Then all the stress of TTC it took a while longer 2nd time around. This time it happened 2nd try! Poor DH LOL!

Hehe thats super sweet of your dad! My FIL dressed K this morning. It was cute to watch as you can see he's not used to doing it while it's become 2nd nature to us now! She is super attached to him, and last night she was so upset that she didnt see him (he had to go to a meeting) that when she saw him this morning she was super happy!

I am thinking a lot about Cols and her journey and battle. Hun I know I cant relate to your struggle, but please know that we are all here for you and you must come and vent as much as you need to. We'll try support you in whatever way we can. I always tell people we all have our own battles, and so just cos urs is unique doesnt mean you have to do it alone.

Robyn - so sorry to hear about your bad night... Kaelyn is the same when her dad works 2pm - 10pm, I struggle to get her to sleep without a goodnight kiss from daddy. At least you have a nice break coming up

Joybaby - Sometimes it takes a while for the antibiotics to work... she may also just be struggling with a dodgy tummy from the antibiotics, maybe try her on a probiotic for a few days? Reuteri is pretty good? Also you might want to give her something like throat pops to just numb the itcy healing throat. We gave K hot toddy brand pops last winter when she was sick with a throat infection.

As for me... well we are onto trying for no 2 now... got the + OPK this morning so its BD tonight got pregnant on the first attempt last time (and we werent watching my cycle or anything) so i am sure tonight will be the night. We only waited for O day this time round cos it increases chances of getting a boy. so FX that i join the pregnant fairies in two weeks time

Had a good chucke this morning, i forgot to pack shoes in for K yesterday, so when my dad was dressing her to take to creche he realised she only had slippers... so he sweetly went to our place to fetch shoes for her on his way to take her to creche... so so sweet!! What an idiot i am to forget SHOES!!! LOL

Sorry to hear about your rough night. Must be something in the air!
I dont ever let K fall asleep alone because she makes herself throw up and them becomes even more hysterical till I come and get her.
Why did you go to bed so late hun? You must look after yourself and go to bed as early as possible!

Ooooh please do let us know how your scan goes! And will gynae double check the gender too?

Flowergirl if we smack Kaylee (eg on the hand) she smacks us back. She doesnt associate it with the naughtiness she's displaying so I dont feel its useful yet.
I smacked her bum the other day and she was most distraught, mostly cos I dont think she could understand why mommy was making her sore. I felt really really awful about it afterwards and wont do that again

Kaylee struggling with either a strep throat or tonsilitis. Had a rough weekend with hectic fevers. Then on Monday she developed a rash all over her body which is apparently a side effect of strep bacteria. We had to rush to the ER on Saturday evening, and was back at a GP on Monday (Paed is overseas) and today is her last dose of antibiotics but she is not herself again and I think she needs more antibiotics cos its obviously not healed yet. So will have to spend another R700 getting her to a doc as I emailed her cardiologist who advises we should take her to a paed to get checked out. Thats 2K in 4 days
She is at the daymom at the moment, so I will probably book to see a doctor tomorrow.

Meantime we have tenants for our house yipee! The deposit was paid yesterday so they get the keys on Thursday evening! They are really nice people and we definitely found the right people for the house!
Still looking for work, same old same old! Not much changes my side

3 weeks till my 16 week scan and then hopefully we'll find out the gender. It's going by so quickly and I dont feel pregnant, although I could sleep all day long I am hoping that will pass soon cos I am very unproductive right now!

very quiet again

Well I had a really bad night - DH is in Jhb and D wouldn't go to sleep, she was just crying for her Dada (shame )
Eventually at 21h00, I just had to close the door and leave her to cry so I could get something
to eat myself, feed the dogs etc
When I went to check on her at 22h00 she was sound asleep but had gotten sick all over the cot
I didn't want to wake her so I tried to clean up around her
I eventually got to bed after 01h00 and then D woke up at 04h00 and refused to go back to sleep
I ended up putting her in my bed at 05h00 - just to try rest since I had to get up at 05h30!
So now I'm a zombie and can't even have any coffee to wake up!

But DH is getting back this evening (TG! ) then we have our 16wk scan tomorrow
and then we are all off to the game reserve on Fri for a whole week (we have to be at my parents house at 03h30! )
