Robyn - so glad that all is well again

I posted this morning, but see that my post was lost Oh well.

We had a breakthrough yesterday!!
When I got home, DH had cooked supper (roast chicken, potatoes, rice, gravy)
and he said he felt better and took Dakota to walk around the new Blue Route mall abit
They went to Woolies and bought MacKenzie her 'coming home' outfit
He thanked me for giving him the space & time to deal with things himself and that he was happy and excited
about Baby M!!!!

Sorry guys, we took thursday and tuesday off and had a really long easter weekend. It was excellent! Kaelyn's teeth seem to have subsided for now, from what i can see she now has a pre molar on either side (top and bottom), four front teeth at the top two at the bottom and a few spots on her gums where you can see the next teeth are imminent... but the worst of the pain seems to be through.

DH and i decided not to ttc this month as DH's mom's birthday is 28 December and mine is 2 January, so we thought we would wait it out... so its a definite for next month. Also with K in the state she was in i must be honest neither one of us was particularly interested.

He he K over the weekend suddlenly had a language break-through and is using 2 and three word sentences suddenly... but what had DH and i in stitches is she grabs a plastic easter egg with sweets insite, brings it to me and says "Mommy, Door!" i tell her no sweetie its an egg... she kept insisting door... turns out door means "open"

I gave K a box and laid all her eggs out on the porch of our holiday chalet... she spent ages filling her box.. i don't think she realised there was chocolate inside... or wanted to make sure nobody stole her eggs... we too have a hoarde of eggs, i don't even think its possible for her to finish them... a whole checkers packet full of eggs and then on top of that she got a box of marshmellow eggs and i got given two new presents this morning from my uncle and aunt and from my aunts mom... he he... shes gonna eat chocolate till the cows come home Lucky thing!

JanineK - Sorry you spent easter sick, i had the flu the week before easter and i tell you its terrible this year, i battled so to get rid of it Hope you feel better soon! and sorry about the rental prices, hopefully the new place will at least be cozy!

Robyn - WOW that sounds positively awful! I hope everyone is better soon! I am sure your DH is going to warm up to the idea of a girl, he cant hold on to that disappointment forever!

Joybaby - Glad to hear everything went well with the cardiologist and FX that the next visit is the good news you have been waiting for

Robyn ag I'm so sorry youve had such a hard time!
Sounds like you all had a bout of mild food poisoning or something!
Next time you should contact your gynae when it happens as it can be dangerous for baby. My DH also got sick on Saturday night and with my all day MS I couldnt bare helping him!

Im glad that you got talking about baby names and his acceptance to your little girl.
Thats a definite step in the right direction!

Us Cape Town ladies really need to get together so that we can finally meet Robyn! And Babyzee too

Jeanine all our family knows we do not go out between 11am and 1:30 pm cos thats K's nap times. So any weekend stuff is arranged around that or else we just dont attend. I must say their one long nap is really at a bad time of day, smack in the middle of everything! We also make play dates from 2pm cos otherwise its a very short visit in the morning.
I'm glad you found a place to stay but pity its more expensive. With interest rates bound to go up this year rentals will definitely be on the increase too. Life just continues to get more expensive!

FG congrats on the amazing results!

Took K to the cardiologist this afternoon for her post op check up.
So far everything looks good. She has recovered fully and we will have our next echo in 5 or 6 months time which is just before baby #2 is due so really hoping we will have good news then as I cant imagine her having surgery and having a newborn.

Robyn, are you referring to bath crayons or the window ones? Bath ones you can get at Toy Kingdom and window ones you can get at Khoki.

Does anyone know where I can get those washable crayons?
Looked at Toys R Us but they don't have
