Hi Mommies,

Sory I have been MIA its coz i am trying to sort out work issues, i just pop in for a quick read and then i am out.

Charnenay glad that things are o.k just take it easy five weeks will be done before you know it.

Robyn i also have those pains I find that a bath helps, with me it happens alot when i am on my feet for a long period of time after a bath i sleep like a baby.

O.k i just need to explain what i do, i work in a publishing house where we do telesales for several business to business publications at the moment i am a manager which means i get a basic plus my own commission from sales that i do and a percentage of what sales my team does, as a manager i am entitled to maternity leave, so my boss wants to demote me to be a normal sales person with no basic, earning commission only this way he dosent pay me maternity leave.

I was pretty pissed of but i came up with a solution, if he demotes me then i can take a longer leave until Jan next year down side to this is i have to work alot harder now and save,on the other hand as a manager i will have to go back to work much sooner, with my LG they called me back after two months.

What do you think should i fight for my management position and earn money or spend time that i will never have with my kids and go later as a sales person or maybe start my own company if i can get an investor

ABDOMINAL BINDER AND MATERNITY BRACE

Hey all your gorgeous mom's and mom's-to-be!!

Not sure if you remember the info I added to the forum about the orthepedic braces to help in getting your tummy back post birth or the back braces to wear during pregnancy to help eliviate back pain.

Just wanted to let you know that I will be going on maternity leave from the 9 July 2010, I will however still be avialable on line for an orders or queries. Please note however it will just be a little more difficult to arrange for delivery and all while on maternity leave, with my little girl
needing most of my attention and me not being able to drive for the first few weeks..

If any of you are wanting to order, please try not leave it till last minute as I dont want to leave any of you dissapointed.

Just incase you needed the info again, please find all attached and please feel free to ask me any questions. My email address is larissa@globemail.co.za.

Abdominal Binder

Maternity Brace

I have had some feedback from mommies and mommies-to-be about both the products. They are all loving it and say it is super comfortable. Also the abdominal binder for post pregnancy, really does work.

Hope you have a great holiday tommorow.

Regards

Larissa

hi ladies

robyn i feel your pain and am with you on it! and i have no advice...sorry hun, just that it is almost over....byt vas...

as for the goin like aches - i said to my one friend earlier today it feels as if baby has moved into position and if i walk/climb stairs it is as if i can feel the pressure down there!

and sleeping aint easy anymore...or rather not that easy. cos i toss and turn the whole bloody night and i need to go to the loo often and we have a lil monster of a todler who's not sleeping through...at least daddy is now attending to him. well only thing that works for me is to sleep on my back and on my left hand side, eventhough it is said that we should preferably not do it. well my body is getting sore and i cant sleep the entire night on one side (sorry for moaning!)

other than that i'm 100%, my bump is finally a nice big round belly, not that big but well 'defined' now hehe! still need to take pics and post it!

Hello ladies

29wks today - still 2 more weeks til we see lo again :(

I've been having some pains in my lower abdomen lately - just above my groin, at the bottom of my bump. Not cramps or BH but more like lo is trying to push her way out through my tummy (happens if I walk around alot or climb stairs etc) Probably just my uterus stretching

Another issue I have is my hips while sleeping !! I sleep on my side, but after an hour or 2 that hip gets incredibly sore, almost like it's being pushed out the socket! So I need to turn over quite often, which really disrupts my sleep (and DH's!)
I've tried putting a pillow between my knees, but that doesn't help
Any suggestions?

Hi Ladies

Charnenay - so glad to hear from you and that you and Emily are both fine.

Can only imagine how horrible that must have felt for both you and your DH - thank goodness you are back on your feet - remember to take it easy though.

Girly - I did try to leave early last week and it helped alot! Also tried taking afternoon naps, which helped as well. But this week has been so hectic with the WC i have not been able to leave early even though i wanted to.

I only got home after 20h00 last night and was exhausted, so exhauted that i couldnt sleep. Def going to try to leave early today though.

I also had a bit of discharge recently, but just a little.
The pains come and go though, back pain is back, but the exercise ball does help and loads of pillows.

Who attends to you when your Dr is on holiday? I know in my case my gynae shares his office with two other gynaes and if he is not available it will be one of them.

I got the borders from Game and my cousin gave me two bin bags full of the puzzle pieces for the floor, so didnt have to spend any more then - just got them cleaned.

I havent bought the stickers as yet, Charnenay mentioned there were some nice ones at Baby City at Sable Square - going to have a look this weekend.

Hello ladies

So, been MIA for a while. Was put on bed rest and everytime I went online, I got kicked out before I could post anything - was very frustrating!!

Woke up in the early hours of last Tuesday morning to go to the loo, only to find that I literally could not move my lower body. Everytime, I tried to make the slightest movement, it felt as if every bone in lower body was breaking into a million pieces. I literally started screaming. Poor DH got such a fright and thought that the baby was coming for sure!! Probably not a nice way to be woken up :S

Anyway, eventually DH had to carry me to the loo and hold me up in the shower because the pain was so bad that I could not stand!! We decided not to go to ER and called the gynae just after 7, we went to see her and I was daignosed with SPD (Symphisis Pelvic Disorder) or something like that. Was put on bed rest and only allowed to get up to go to physio as babies head was starting to engage as well. Felt terrible for the rest of the week, but by Saturday morning, the pain had completely vanished - the physio did wonders!!! I could walk again!!! Had to go back to see gynae and she wanted to put me off until my maternity leave starts, but I promised her that I would take it easy at work and stay home if I felt I needed to. So, need to go back and see her on Monday and she will decide if I can work until the end of the month at least! But, I am only working half days from now on.

So, Emily is still fine, staying put, and growing nicely. I am sooo glad because she is still so tiny, so I really need her to stay put for at least 5 more weeks!!

Nikki you're in the centre of it all! You should think about arranging to leave work at 4PM until your M/L starts, its going to stay this way!

I left the office at 6:10 tonight and took 25minutes to get onto table bay boulevard where it usually takes a few. From there on it was freeflowing, and got home at 6:50 which isnt bad for 35km's drive once out of town.

Not long to go now before you start M/L though.
Cant wait to see pics of your nursery :) Where did you get stickers? I want to get a few cute ones to put up, but not as a boarder, more randomly.
There's a lot of pink kitty's out there (and not only hello kitty), so hope to find something similar, or bunnies & butterflies too.
Will probably make a trip to Treehouse factory shop the first weekend in July.

We got the paint today, and painting Kaylee's room on Wednesday, cant wait :D

Nikki re your pains, I've also had period type pains since yesterday, but its not an obvious cramp rather a dull feeling.
Also had change in discharge a bit today. Was almost gel like and quite thick...
My stomach is also feeling really sensitive, almost like I've had food poisoning. Not sure whether I should worry.

One thing I'm worried about is that my Dr is on vacation for 3 weeks! Only see him again at 33weeks. Hope LO stays put. 30 weeks tomorrow!
